This team needs a 2C then i think they can have a chance at the cup
Not enough to land Seguin and like others have already said you won't have enough cap space to pay Laine and Connor if you trade for Seguin. The Jets could use another center though and should be competitive for the next few seasons at least so would be way better off to go after a center with term who doesn't have too high a contract, I think the Jets should try to get Zibenejad from the Rangers.

Yea I agree he sucks. He should be scratched the next game after the florida game. Also your lines look pretty good.

No, he just is this good now. That's just how it is. He's going to carry Ottawa to a cup this year. Deal with it.

Only thing about Tanev is he is slowing down (he's 29, it's normal). But yeah, could probably get a bit more.

E Karlsson
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Strobez</b></div><div>I dont think Canucks want Manning. Hes 28, and we're going for the youth movement rn. Addtionally with the logjam at LHD (Hughes, Juolevi, Edler, Rathbone, Utunen), Manning wouldnt make the roster. BOS would say no the trade. Theyre in no reason to make a goaltending move, and they dont need another big useless contract in Lucic (They already have Backes). I dont think TOR will accept that trade even tho they are getting back a decent RHD in return.</div></div>
That Nucks deal I was thinking of trading of exchanging cap dumps. Bos gets screwed with Lucic, but McLeod and a couple of high picks make up for it. As for Toronto, I probably should have remove top prospect Sandin and put in AHL Allstar Rosen. Though doing that I'd have to alter the Buf trade to get A. Nylander.

Depth moves with Van Dal Chi Stl
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Strobez</b></div><div>Canucks say yes immediately, but I don't think Caps do</div></div>
Thanks. I think Burakovsky's in the doghouse, so the idea of trading him seems reasonable. I have no insight into when Djoos will be back from LTIR, but Hutton is playing okay right now, and I figure a below average 2LD should make an above average 3LD. But it would take an injury or another small move to fit under the salary cap.
Edit: the IRL Capitals probably never consider trading Eller, Djoos, or Orlov, let alone all three, just one year after a championship, but this fan, who thinks they're all very good players, would consider all these moves, together, to load up on experience for the playoffs, without going overboard on greybeards, or going too far over the cap.

Adding Scherbak
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Strobez</b></div><div>Claiming Scherbak isnt a bad idea but I think waiving Biega is. Biega is a RHD which is pretty rare for a guy going on waivers, and im sure he will be claimed by a team. He sometimes brings in the energy, and speed which some of our d-man lacks. Once in a while, he even looks like an Erik Karlsson due to his puck possesion skills and his vision, but that rarely happens.</div></div>
Biega has been on waivers before but I understand what you are saying. So instead we could explore a trade for MDZ or Pouliot and if no one is willing to offer us anything for them then we can waive one of them instead.

A Realistic Outlook on the 2019-2020 Canucks
Dude. This is spot on to what I was thinking.
Love Virtanen, but hard to see him playing top line...maybe sharing it with Eriksson? Love that you traded Sutter. I don't think Dahlen has proven himself enough yet. You resigned Gaunce but where is Granlund?
I would have Motte play on the 4th line and Leivo move to the left of Petterson, Goldy to the 3rd line. We still have depth: Tanner Kero, Brendan Gaunce, Zach MacEwen and Reid Boucher are all thirsty to prove themselves and on a last leg.

Solving Ehlers injury and 2C
isnt this just Statsny 2.0?
seems like a loss for WPG given you know he's going to be testing the market . the odds of him re-signing are exactly as narrow Statsny was and like i said last year when all WPG fans ''knew he'd re-sign'' , he left. WPG is a cash strapped team and cannot offer UFA's of this caliber anything they are interested in .
however someone like Rask from CAR who has been a victim of new ownership and a badly timed injury could be had for a more reasonable price. With CAR playing so strong in Rask Absence im sure they'd consider it long before OTT considers moving Duchene which means they gave up a Kings Ransom for absolutely nothing . (OTT has plenty of Cap to pay Duchene 2m over every other teams offer if they wanted it just makes little sense that he'd take 5.5m as thats the max WPG could afford long term )

I don’t understand why a Canucks fan would want Lucic. He is worse than Eriksson and so is his contract. He also has a NMC, so he would need to be protected for the expansion draft. This trade is truly horrible

I don’t want to draft Soderstrom and I’d bet that we’ll pick in the top ten. I really want to see us draft Zegras. Similar numbers to Hughes, but playing in the 2C role. In the long term, I think Pettersson should play left wing, and we’ll need a high end scoring center.

A Realistic Outlook on the 2019-2020 Canucks
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Strobez</b></div><div>Hello, I think you must be mistaken. I meant the team that Sutter was traded to will send over their 1st RD pick, not Canucks sending our 1st RD pick over. On the other hand, I think Dahlen has proven himself. Hes been doing quite well in AHL on an injury-riddled Comets team, but he seems to never have a down game from what ive seen. I agree, I want Sutter for a RHD prospect but i just dont see it happening. Gaudette has been improving game by game, and he should get a lot of playing time in Utica, and hopefully that can flourish his play and bring him back as 3C at the start of the 2019-2020 season</div></div>
Agh gotcha skimmed over it too quick i guess. Dont think Sutters value is that high in a trade. Id say we could get a 2nd if multiple teams wanted him from us but if we are actively looking to trade him we'd probly get a 3rd at best. Really hope we can get Boeser signed below 7.5M but doesnt look likely with the way he is playing eh.. Dont think Demko gets that much but maýbe 2M per on his first NHL deal. Goldy and Leivo around Virtanen 1.3-1.5 and I like the Edler, Hutton deals.

I like your outlook for the most part. I dont think we need to retain anything on Sutter with the cap going up. We would have to trade him before the deadline in that trade which is fine but we may want to keep him to push for the playoffs and definitely dont need to risk losing our 1st rounder. Id prefer to see Sutter traded for a 3rd or B level RhD prospect. Has Dahlen proven himself yet? I know Gaudette needs some more developing to get his 200ft game more polished but he is making strides.

San Jose will get at least 2 guys in the game since it's in their building. Kings have to have at least 1 player. My point was that Kopitar isn't deserving this season, but Muzzin has been playing exceptionally well. Karlsson has been a pretty big disappointment while Couture is playing really well too. Horvat might well be deserving, but whose spot would he take?

So what would you do to give the Canucks an edge? Personally I think they come out on top of this trade as is, but I am a biased hawks fan in the end.

Kopitar and Karlsson both don't deserve to be on this team. Kopitar hasn't been good this season and is only getting the spot because the Kings have to be represented. Karlsson is only getting the nod because the game is in San Jose. Muzzin should get Karlsson's spot and Couture should get Kopitar's.
