Don't think PIT would go for it if the pick was conditional. Either way, COL gets 2 years of Sid, so it would be worth it.
They rename Denver Cole Harbour, Colorado.

To replace PLD Sign and trade
A lot would depend on Horvat's extension term wise and dollar wise. I personally wouldn't have much interest in the Jets paying him for 8 years, based on a career year he almost certainly won't approach again.
Plus you have to factor in that sign and trades rarely happen and at this point why would Horvat bother to sign a contract now when he can go wherever he wants and for likely more than he is worth in a few months.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Suh_Baud</b></div><div>So what should the leafs do at the deadline? 1st rd pick is in play.</div></div>
Honestly, I'm torn. I like the build of the team, but am worried that guys like Kerfoot and Engvall won't continue their strong play in the playoffs. If you can get a top 6 winger (who's a big improvement on Jarnkrok), I'd try to use the first and a good prospect to land that player. Defense I think is in much better shape than previous years. I'm completely conifident in Lilly and Sandy, Gio is a stud who's gonna leave it all out on the table, and Reilly should work his way back to form. Benn, TImmons can play bottom pairing minutes, and we still have Holl (who's much maligned, but still manages to play 20 minutes a night but still manages to be a plus stat) that can work his way up and down the D pairs. Plus we have Brodie sitting in the wings on IR, who is a good top 4, but starting to decline.
I'd love to target Chych, but he's gonna cost too much. Horvat, Kane, Meier would all work well, but cost a lot for a rental (even though Meier is an RFA, the QO is massive). I'd love to get a guy like O'Reilly cause I don't think it will cost much more than a first at 50% retained if STL is out. Would love to pull in Konecny, but that's gonna cost multiple 1sts and prospects.
I also think we need to go after an additional goalie, since both Samsonov and Murray are injury prone. Reimer would be a good option that won't break the bank.
at the end of the day, I'm guessing Dubas makes a splash...........losing in the first round again doesn't seem to be an option

Deep run
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Dutchies</b></div><div>Yeah, adding a depth player who's scoring at a 0.4 PPG average is totally gonna take SEA to the promised land...........</div></div>
Dvorak may score 0.4 ppg but atleast he's able to be between (52% this years) to 56% (Last year's best results) ratio with is faceoff from all the season he have play.
As for Seattle there center have: Wennberg 45.3% , Berniers 44.3% , Gourde 48,1% , Geekie 47,6%.
It's good to have a look about ppg but sometimes it's also good to look other stats too and where is minutes play come from. Dvorak play on the powerplay and penalty kill for one reason not is ppg but is ability to win faceoff and get pick possession.
So can Dvorak help any playoff team ? For sure is will be able to secure the center position for anyone who need center depth or/and if they need faceoff and defensive play with a touch of offense.
Is Dvorak value a first round pick ? There is the debate personally I would say yes because while he's not producing at high end ratio ppg he still useful by being able to win most of is faceoff and can play in any type of scenarios and eat minutes.
Can team get Dvorak for lower ? Sure that all depend of the offer and request. From now till deadline what will mark the market is the first move. When the first move is made the dominoes will fall in suite and we would probably see good amount of trade be done. Value will all be connected together.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Just_A_Guess</b></div><div>Why on earth would MTL take this? We're rebuilding, Saros will be 30 by the time we're competing for anything...</div></div>
Good Goalies at 30 still have another 5-6 years. It's actually perfect timing. Players want to play and win in MTL. Esp French Canadian players. They can rebuild much quicker with high end goaltending. Cut loose Drouin, Dadonov. Pay someone to take Hoffman, Armia, Gallagher. Move Dvorak, Anderson. Edmunson for assets. Open cap space, make moves. Hate to say it, but Habs could be competitive in a year or so

I mean sure I'd consider it. Dudes never in the line up so a 2nd rounder is kinda his value at the moment. I'm sure everyone is hoping he turns it around and maybe you can deal him in the off-season for better.

Rebuild in Van
Vancouver would take that and Winnipeg might be willing to offer it too. Winnipeg should be able to extend him and they can move PLD in the offseason to open up cap space for Horvat. It'd depend on how expendable pending RFA Stanley is to the Jets.

If I’m the Jets, I pounce on that deal (especially at 50% retained).
We know how good ROR is and something stinks with the Blues rn so I’m pretty certain ROR hasn’t just personally fallen off. What a robbery that would be for ROR

This is pretty interesting. Lou loves his vets, and Barzal would kill it playing with the likes of Connor and Ehlers.
Isles won't be able to afford Barzal after this year anyways.............Scheif is a bit of a ass in the dressing room, and supposedly wants out of WPG anyways, so I'd pull the trigger even if it's a touch of an overpay
