My rankings of 2022 guys I watched today
1. Brad Lambert - Great hockey IQ, force on the ice, opportunistic
2. Logan Cooley - Very complete
3. Simon Nemec - Very complete
4. Joakim Kemell - Doesn’t drive play, always open and has a snipe shot
5. Juraj Slafkovsky - Lacks foot speed, poor off puck, good offensively with the puck
6. Filip Mesar - Barely noticed him, seemed out of position a lot, good foot speed
Didn’t see Wright, Jiricek or Yurov

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Alfie11</b></div><div>This is probably correct honestly. I'd go with Krejci, forgot about him. That list you just posted was kinda depressing lol, it's hard to take seriously when there are multiple recent rejects from non-playoff teams (Chlapik, Veronneau, Nesterov). I think guys like Pelletier, Power, Sanderson, Perunovich, Wright, and McTavish deserve to be in the conversation as well, but Krejci was an NHL 2C on a good team last year and left by choice.</div></div>
Yea, was just based on top 3 scorers from each league to kind of get a “short”list of candidates

2021-2022 NHL Discussion Thread #9 - Happy Holidays
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>justaBoss</b></div><div>Question to everyone here
Who is the best player in the world outside NHL right now? Was having a discussion with my brother about the issue tonight, and I promised to ask some feedback from some other people watching hockey (you guys basically lol).
When Kaprizov was playing in KHL he was the easy answer but now we're in a bit of a pickle as we haven't really reached any kind of consensus on this matter. Is the best one even playing in KHL, or perhaps in juniors or possibly in University or something like that? Maybe in Switzerland.
Throw me some ideas about the issue. I'm positive we could figure out better names than Vadim Shipachyov.
Additional note: anyone answering Blake Comeau to this question deserves to have wet socks on them for the rest of the Christmas week lol</div></div>

A cool idea I was thinking about is a weekly round up post on CapFriendly, or bi-weekly. 5-10 users combine to make up a regular forum post, kind of like an article or something like that. About teams around the league, players, injuries, rumours, reports, transactions, drafted prospects, undrafted prospects, draft eligible prospects, world juniors, u-18s, other leagues, stuff like that

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Alfie11</b></div><div>The “NHL Season” has turned into a game of who doesn’t have covid. It’s natural that that is the main topic of discussion, because that’s literally all there is to discuss right now. It’s the 20 biggest news items of every day. Also, covid shouldn’t be political. It’s science, not something you can take sides on.</div></div>
Yes and no. You can’t disagree about the science, but you can disagree about how the science is interpreted which I think is what causes issues. I like to imagine similarly to an issue like BLM. It isn’t inherently political but it has become political. Probably just both topics should be shied away from, just thought I’d chime in a little bit
