That offer isn't getting Toronto Noah Hanifn, And no he's not re-signing in Toronto or any Canadian team when he wants to play in the States.

Forbort is a pending UFA. He'd have no impact on Mukhamadulin getting a chance next year.

It’s not like you couldn’t bury him in San Jose or trade him to another team. I’m just stating a simple fact about the cap. I would have ZERO interest in Duclair at $3m

I’d probably consider that with 50 percent retention though part of me wonders if he’s any better than other options

Maybe Merkulov becomes like Zetterland with more of an opportunity. He’s certainly been very productive in the AHL and his shot translates as does his ability to set position on the left side of the net.
You could likely flip Forbort with retention if you chose to</div></div>

Yeah, like Gaudreau was signing in Philly and Tkachuk only wanted to play in St. Louis, then there is Dubois and Montreal... etc

Zero reason for NSH to trade him, and BOS doesn't have much in the way of futures to offer for him.

He would be for most teams. I agree that with the Bruins' right side, he'd be pushed down to the third pair there.
BOS also has a lot less in the way of picks and prospects to offer, than some teams who would need Carrier more, so these trade rumours about BOS and NSH are curious.

The Bruins are getting a solid 2nd pair defenceman at max retention for just a 3rd two drafts from now here.
I think it's the Preds the OP doesn't like, and they decline pretty easily.

open heart surgery to a club this good and you wound up with AJ Greer on the second line? a guy you have scratched has twice the offensive production of him with a really good defensive game. why?
