How do those two points made by you not contradict eachother now?
This should be funny to see you "logic" your way out of</div></div>
It's amazing you can't do it yourself, english must not be your first language. Ducks players likely voted for Gibson, we don't know how many Ducks players voted. Those don't oppose each other in the slightest way.
You keep making this claim that people that matter value Gibson highly. What exactly is this based off of? A poll where 18 of 537 people chose him?

Its a voluntary poll. We don't know how many players votes from the various teams. It doesn't take a genius to notice that 3 goalies are above the rest though. After Vasi, Price and Fleury, everyone else floated around 3%. Also doesn't take a genius to notice the best goalie from this season isn't on the list.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Lenny7</b></div><div>I'm going along with what he's saying because there's really zero point in arguing Gibson's value on here at this point. It's been a hilarious circle jerk of people trading nothing for him, putting him as their starting goaltender, then turning around and saying "Yeah but no! he's a cap dump! Sure he's our new starter, but why would we give up any value for him?! .905 SaVe PeRcEnTaGe!"
It's the ACGM way! Trade for a player, then when someone says "that's not enough", you immediately bash the player that you've traded for.</div></div>
Ok, so in true unAGM fashion...explain why Gibson would be worth anything after 3 bad seasons in a row, with a big contract and lots of term. Bonus points if you can find a comparable player who fetched a premium after that kind of recent resume.

You can justify this to yourself in any way you want to, it’s still a terrible take.

Yeah, he's probably in his element best on the 2nd pair, but I don't think Bruins fans are going to be so quick to advocate for a rebuild just yet. Hey, I'd still love it as a Canucks fan, Carlo would be a great partner for Hughes, but the Canucks aren't in a position to be trading anymore high draft picks or good prospects right now

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Hammerwise</b></div><div>Philly wants a RD, which makes COL a good trade partner.
A simple and probably accepted offer is one of Compher or Jost (Jost being the more desired player), a 1st rounder in 2023, and then one of Barron or Helleson (Barron being the more desired prospect).
I would expect if Jost is offered, the prospect is Helleson and and if Compher is the player, Barron is the prospect.</div></div>
It actually makes the Avs a bad trade partner and I'd expect them to reject a proposal involving Barron and sure as hell not offer him. I'd prefer them not to move either of Barron or Helleson. More likely offer imo is Compher, 1st plus Ranta/Kaut/Bowers. Any more than that and I'd walk away from the table if I were Joe. Giroux has almost total control over where he goes and the Avs don't need him, he'd simply be a nice piece to have. Overpaying is not a good idea.

An NHL calibre defenceman, B level prospect and 1st and 3rd rounder for a decent winger you don't need and a bottom pair D man? That's "spit in your face" worthy? What do you think you're getting for Miller if that package is so pathetic and deplorable?</div></div>
Its gonna take a kings ransom to get Miller or Boeser or Garland. First we do not have to trade any of them.We would also ask for what we need in any trade not what the other team needs. Really we hold all the cards on Miller. Word is we are keeping him.We are also looking for a young stud RD to play big mins with Hughes now and in the future. Schenn is a great temp partner.) Holl is not a fit.IMHO

Chych with no retention <em>starts </em>with a <strong>'22</strong> 1st and Sandin. And your "top 6 forward" has only one year of control before hitting UFA at age 28.
Just being real with ya, man. If somebody could have hoodwinked Billy boy out of Chych, it would have happened by now.</div></div>
Change the picks, seeing as that Philly deal doesn't happen.
2022 first
2023 first
2023 second
Sandin
Kerfoot
Engvall
ARZ needs roster players, seeing as they have 6 total starting next season and need to be at the cap floor. Now they have 4 first round picks, that's without any other trades they make this year. 2 more firsts for the year after and another second. This is an underpay? Man, a lot of people on here are going to be stunned when they see what the actual deal looks like.

A few things for ya.
- Holl is not <em>that much</em> of a cap dump (if he really is one at all). A 2nd is way too much.
- Ellis is likely out for the season, which is one issue. The much larger issue is 1) Philly ain't retaining 19M over six years on Ellis - obviously. And even if they would, you have not paid for it at all. In fact, you haven't paid enough to get both of these guys without any retention. And would Philly even want to trade Ellis?
- Bill Armstrong will NOT be retaining on Chych, let alone 8+M.
So yeah, this all needs a re-think.
