TDL 2023 v2
I don't mind both trades but would question on if the Sens would do that, I don't think they have the cap space to resign Dumba even if he was at 3-4mil AAV. I am also not convinced BG would trade Moose....maybe he would for Mitts and I know I have seen some other ACGM post as a one for one swap but who know if it would actually happen. I like the idea though.

I doubt the Wild and Stars help each other out but I would trade Dumba for Hakanpaa and we would retain half of Dumba's contract for a 3rd?

By no means has Flower played like he did in years past but he has been solid this year, besides a few games where the whole team hung him or Gus out to dry. I just don't see BG trading him unless its something that really wows him and is a no brainer. The cap space would be nice but there are other ways to free up cap space in which BG would do before trading Flower. Who knows maybe Flower hangs 'em up after this year freeing up more cap space.

Ahhh I see well the Wild don't really need to trade MAF there is no reason to...so if the Pens want him they are going to have to knock the socks off of BG and probably overpay. I am sure Flower would waive his NMC for the Pens but I just don't see why the Wild would trade him.

Next Years team after a trade for Dumba
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Lightman13</b></div><div>That’s just what Russo said he’s gotten for feedback from other actual gm’s watching dumba. That he’s on the bottom of their list of d to pursue for tdl additions and that Guerin hasn’t found any value in calls about him. So take it out on Russo. Not that I’m a fan of him, but he has a pretty reasonable hand on the pulse for this stuff.
Also his defensive metrics will be heavily swayed by playing paired with brodin who makes up for Dumba’s lapses.
Long story short. It’s not that dumba doesn’t have value just that since his torn pec he doesn’t have his offensive nature and his game relied on that more than defensive work. So when he was scoring 15ish goals and 50 points you ignore the bad turnover or 2 a game. But when he’s not putting up points those untimely turnovers get you benched for a game or two. Which is what happened to him earlier. Couple bad games in a row and benched.</div></div>
I agree and would also note that the Wild are the team that drafted him and he has played his whole career with the Wild so far, all while being on the trade block for years and surviving two expansion drafts, I am sure this year he has come to the realization that it is going to be his last year with the Wild and will be moved at the TDL or walk as a FA. These guys are professional athletes but are still human and that has really affected his play this year. I could see him being traded or walking this offseason and preforming way better then he has been as of late or even the past year just because his head will be clear and not worrying about where he might end up at any moment of the day like he is probably thinking everyday right now.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>MNBassman</b></div><div>For whatever reason, in their entire history, the Wild have put very little emphasis on drafting centers…especially in the last 10-15 years. Every single year everyone talks about the Wild being weak down the middle, yet they continue drafting wings and defensemen…</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Digitalbooya06</b></div><div>Eriksson Ek is a borderline 1C.
Guerin has had three drafts as GM and picked Rossi, Khusnutdinov, and Haight in the first two rounds for centers. In the previous nine drafts prior to Guerin, we had selected three total centers in the first two rounds.
That says a lot about Fletcher and his draft/scouting team.</div></div>
Not to mention the Wild have never really bottomed out enough to get a high draft pick to get that stud #1C. They have only had two (#3 Gabby and #4 Pouliot bust) top 5 picks since coming into the league. True #1C don't fall off trees and are usually in the top 5 picks unless you find that diamond in the rough in which most cases every team in the league has already had a chance to draft him.

Buffalo Sabres signed Dylan Cozens (7 Years / $7,100,000 AAV)
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>sabresparaavida</b></div><div>I’ll admit I know Cozens a lot better than Boldy, so there is definitely bias here. Cozens plays C, which is more important if the players are equally skilled. Cozens also has more points so far this season, while playing with 2 rookies on his line. He has great transition numbers, and very good two way play. Despite carrying 2 rookies on his line, Cozens is still a +3, whereas Boldy is a -5, second worst on his team. Again, I don’t know Boldy as well, but Cozens is out-producing him, and likely is better in his own zone/transition.</div></div>
Oh I get it there is definitely bias on this site. And to be fair I don't know a whole lot about Cozens I just find it funny how many people ripped the Boldy deal compared to this one. IMO both are good young players and will probably out preform these contracts. But I would argue that while Cozens is playing with two rookies Boldy isn't exactly playing with McDavid either last year he had Fiala for half a year, and while his +/- isn't great this year he is still better then Cozens then over his 96 games played with a higher PPG then Cozens for their respective careers so far..

Yeah he had a great year last year playing on the top line, but he is not producing like he did last year. His first half of year has been average mainly because he was hurt and was taken off the top line. I definitely think he is going to have a better second half of the season but yeah I could see why other teams would want him but there hasn't been any reports that he is on the block I am sure BG is/would listening to offers and some of the ACGM offers are pretty good but I think teams are going to have to really overpay to pry him away from the Wild. Most teams and ACGMs wont want to give up the assets.

I just really dont think BG would trade Hartman, but in this deal Brunet doesnt really move the needle for us we are stacked at defense prospects. I could see BG trying to swap out Brunet for Kuntar seeing as he is a BC guy. The 1st rounder is nice but its going to be the 31 or 32 pick so I would think the Wild listen but no guarantees its a done deal.

The Wild might say yes to that trade but if it was me I would swap out Spacek with Masters or Healey, no real reason other then I know Spacek had a pretty dam good WJC showing and he might have climbed the prospect list for the Wild. But if Van would take Masters or Healey then yes.
This would almost assure that Dumba would be moved at the TDL too.

Who knows what it would take to make BG's ears perk up for Greenway. I know with the Boldy signing this puts the Wild in more a cap crunch as they have some RFA's and UFA's to sign so it kinda makes Greenway expendable seeing as Duhaime could fill his role for cheaper money. I really don't think he will get traded at the TDL but more likely in the offseason. If he is traded at the TDL its going to be for a roster player to help make a playoff push in which the Wild would be adding picks but nothing blockbuster, I would think if it happens in the offseason its probably for a prospect or pick(s) maybe a 2nd maybe a 2nd and 5th....its not going to be Horvat return.

Probably tough to say if u guys like him or not?
I’d think some teams would, & some would pass
Hinnostroza is a solid bottom6 player
But i agree that he likely has little trade value
I’d just assume keep him as depth if that’s the case
Maybe we add a pick or one of our MANY forward prospects instead ?</div></div>
Yeah by no means am I saying Asplund is a bad player he just isn't a good fit for the Wild at least I don't think he is, BG may think otherwise. His size, skill and versatility match most of our bottom 6 guys (besides Revo) and the Wild have plenty of other guys in the AHL to call up that could fill the same role that Asplund would be filling.
I agree that he is a different player then Greenway which is why I think it wouldn't make sense for the Wild to get rid of him for Asplund. But the Wild do have Duhaime that could fill Greenway's role so trading him isn't out of the question.
