<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Vanilla_Icing</b></div><div>We have one guy running it in season mode while controlling all the teams. The rest of us are acting as the GMs for those teams. When we make a trade or sign someone, the guy running it (commissioner), makes the trade in season mode. Since he technically controls each team, every trade goes through. For the draft, the commissioner will send us the prospects list, and we'll basically manually add them to the teams who pick them and then start another file in season mode with the updated rosters and ratings.</div></div>

Stacked Cap Compliant Team
Barkov and Schiefele are both on ridiculous deals as well. Feel bad for Winnipeg, they literally just re-built too well and now have to let players walk for next to nothing, even when they have wheeler and mark on these types of deals.

Every time I see it I still cannot get over that MacKinnon contract. It is absolutely absurd.

Yeah he's a perfect fit for us. Veteran, scoring, good defense, only one year left on his contract. He'd be great here.

Going ALL IN
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Vanilla_Icing</b></div><div>How does that work? You have about 1.6 mil in cap space with Schultz on LTIR. When he comes back, his 5.5 mil cap hit will be counted again, so wouldn’t that force the team over the cap?</div></div>
Cap isnt a single time frame snap shot. Its worked out over the year. So even with no injuries a team with 1 mil in cap space all the way up to the TDL now actually has cap space for a player with a hit well above 1 million as there is only a short window left to pay. Similar will apply with a player coming back from LTIR. Every day they were gone and the team is under cap is a day once they are back the team could be "over cap".

Bob could work
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Vanilla_Icing</b></div><div>Bob could help fix their goaltender woes, but I personally wouldn't feel comfortable with the contract you offered him. He's had a bit of a down year so far and if that trend continues this contract would force Philly to pay a potentially mediocre goalie nearly 10 mil a year until he's 36 and with Carter Hart working his way up to the starter, I personally would refrain from such a long contract. However, I could very well eat those words in the future.</div></div>
Yeah, I'm not sure if I'd like this contract either. High risk, high reward. Varlamov would likely be a better option.

As long as the goal don't move, Moulson can screen it. I got Kovalchuk next year at 3M over Darling.

Opinions on these moves
Ritchie for Sprong is an interesting trade that the Ducks might consider, but as of late Nick Ritchie has picked it up. So while the deal is not totally off base, I do not think it is something that is going to happen in the near future. Maybe if Ritchie falls back.

Sharks refresh PIT CAR TOR WPG
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Vanilla_Icing</b></div><div>I don't think the Jones-Murray deal would go through. Pittsburgh is cap strapped as it is and will be even more so when Schultz returns from IR. On top of that, Murray's age and contract would make him more valuable, as he is young enough to still noticeably improve and cheaper as well. While Jones is far from old, he is unlikely to get any better than he already is (aside from likely possibility of him returning to form).
I also do not foresee the Canes making a move for a defenseman when they already have one of the deeper defensive groups in the league, unless the rumors regarding a deal involving William Nylander for Justin Faulk actually happens.</div></div>
They’d still have Hamilton, Pesce. TVR, Mckeown on right side if they dealt Faulk.
