Who are CGY's analytic guys scouting from MTL?

Can't see the Habs moving Gally unless someone overpays. He's the heart of this team. And I'd be shocked if Columbus is scouting Patches. Torts didn't seem to like him too much during the World Cup.

Probably Karl Alzner. Just checking to see if he's actually that bad. Which he is

Only Phaneuf and Turris fought in the playoffs for OTT last year. They sure do match your 4th liner description! They never traded for any toughness leading up to the playoffs. Literally everyone who fought for them last year was already on the roster. Oh yeah, their top 2 fighters were Borowiecki and Neil. Borowiecki has played 19 games this year, and Neil retired after he couldn't get a contract.
This started out being about salary cap... that wasn't necessary so now you're making it all about this nonsense fighting. I don't believe you when you say you've watched plenty of games. Sorry.</div></div>
I meant Steve Ott.. and I've struggled to watch the pst 2 games cause it's too boring. To me Gally, Shaw and deslauriers are our only high energy players

OMG, you're obsessed with goons going around running everybody. The NHL is taking that garbage out of the game man. It's all about speed and skill now. Are you stuck in 2005? Have you watched an NHL game since then? If someone runs a goalie or a player they're getting suspended - simple as that.
Nearly everyone laughed at the Pens for trading for Reaves... makes sense that you're on board with it though :laugh</div></div>
Haha yes I have watched plenty of games. Yup it's mostly speed and skill now but if you can get some 4th liners to bring energy throw hits and fight it helps spark the team Aka Ott during the playoffs. Sorry but de la rose, Froese, and Logan shaw aren't those guys. And last time I checked Price had to take matters into his own hands. I wouldn't trust the league to hand out suspensions when they can't even get goalie interference right.

Valardi and a 1st isn't getting "lucky".
Again with the fighting... it's at its lowest point ever! It's not a part of today's game! Why are you even factoring that in when, as I mentioned, there are plenty of other guys already in the org who can fill that need on the rare occasion it's actually needed.</div></div>
Also why did the Pens go out and trade for Reaves?

Can't see LA moving Forbort or Iafallo. Folin is useless to the Habs. And Duchene got that much because it was a 3 way trade. If you think we can get a 1st 2nd a 3rd and 3 top prospects then you're mistaken. Also yes fighting isn't much of a factor now but what happens when someone takes a run at Price or Drouin? Our only fighter who can fight is Deslauriers and by the looks of the last 2 games he's not gonna drop them anymore

Shaw, Deslauriers and Weber for toughness. Call up Big Mac if you want to inject some more, but asking for a fighter in return for Pacioretty is the most ridiculous thing I've heard tbh. Waste of a roster spot. Not that that's all Clifford can do, but he really doesn't bring much to today's game.</div></div>
I included Clifford for cap reasons. Basically it's a 1st and Vilardi for Patches which is about all we will get for him if we are lucky. And I wouldn't say there are no fighters in the NHL as there are still a few kicking around and as for Weber I'd prefer him not fighting and sitting for 5 or more minutes when a 4th liner can handle that.

I'd target Amadio, Folin, Forbort, Shore, Iafallo, etc. before I'd resort to Kyle Clifford.
You'd also be very lucky to get Jaskin for Benn. Benn is a 7th D on any good team.</div></div>
Figured LA would want to shed some cap and after seeing Byron and Petry get run over and no one does anything about it, at least Clifford can fight. Would rather have him then Froese or L. Shaw in the lineup.

Some take longer than others. And again he's 20 why bring him up to Arizona when they are terrible to begin with. Misewell let him tear up the AHL and see what next year brings

90 pts in 97 games actually pretty good. Not his fault the rest of his team chokes. And it's impossible to tell what their values are. Certain teams will value other players higher. I imagine a team who's looking for a scoring winger then Pacioretty is the guy. You can hate all you want the dude put up multiple 30 goal seasons playing with terrible players. 2nd behind ovi for gwg?
