Market is thin and those available don't wanna come to EDM.
Anton Forsberg is a good candidate

Next Lucas Raymond imo. 17 year old - 7g 2A in 26 games for Djurgardens. Same team Zibanejad played for and has the exact same stats right now as Zibanejad had in his draft year. But he’s built exactly like Lucas Raymond and has a great shot

I wouldn’t be shocked at all if someone took him top 10. He has similar numbers to Raymond and Zibanejad in their draft years

I think Boucher plays atleast a bottom 6 role at this point for Ottawa. He’s not putting up great numbers in the ohl this year but neither did Lucic or Wilson. I thin at the very least he’s Auston Watson at most he’s Tom Wilson

True, the picks won't help now, but at the TDL buying teams are more likely to give up picks than roster players. However, it is more the players targeted as opposed to value or anything else. None of The players targeted do anything for the Jets.

Our RHD depth sucks.
We need RHW for when Wheeler finally gets the hell off the ice and out of the way.
I’m thinking about win now, not build for the future

Highly unlikely the Jets do any of the deals. All of the targeted players don't fill and needs for the Jets.

Boston isn't trading Debrusk for a 36 year old rental. They would rather have picks, or someone around his age who can play in the top 9 for the next 5 seasons at least.
Pittsburgh is pretty close to the cap and already have Crosby and Malkin up the middle, and aren't likely to trade them.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Wyattzed</b></div><div>Even at the time dadanov was a big signing. That obviously didn't turn out great but still</div></div>
Yeah true, we were hopeful to have a legit top-6 forward in him. Now we prefer to just forget it
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Hii</b></div><div>Four words for those UFA's : A long time ago.
I also wouldn't say that Clarke MacArthur is a significant UFA, that 2017 first round winner in Boston is one of my favourite memories watching a hockey game.</div></div>
Well, Dorion hasn't done much good as a GM. One of the best he has done was to bring Troy Mann, which solidified the Mann brothers in Ottawa. Without them, my hope level would be very low lol
And MacArthur was a pretty good player in Ottawa, it's concussions issues that cut his career short. The MacArthur-Turris-Ryan (MoToR) line was awesome.

And don't worry for the cap in Ottawa, it's extremely manageable... there's always contract expiring (like Tierney, Sanford, Zaitsev, Murray, White). The cap is also going to rise again. The only question is will Ottawa be able to follow?
As for significant UFAs who signed in Ottawa in the (recent) past : Dominik Hasek, Sergei Gonchar, Alexei Kovalev, Clarke MacArthur</div></div>

That seems like a pretty excessive return for Copp...Agree with <a href="/users/rooney" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@rooney</a> on that being underwhelming for Scheifele as well. The other 3 are probably reasonable.

Speaking specifically to the Scheifele trade, the value simply isn't there for WPG. A cost controlled, point per game #1C who is signed for another 2.5 years would command a much bigger return.

Welcome to CapFriendly! Sometimes, it's not too friendly.
We won't be trading Max Comtois at his low point. And that's without any silliness like "unless it's for Jake Sanderson."
