<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>JSEB93</b></div><div>I saw, specifically in March, some times where he looked defeated or frustrated after a goal if thats what you're referring to. But the Pens were basically the worst defensive team in the league that month - so personally I'll give him the pass on that. Also there was a stretch where a ton of the goals hit off their own players, or defenders were running into Jarry - I think part of it was just shock.
Not sure what you mean by his antics and not being well received though?
I'm not saying Jarry is some elite goalie by the way. I've always had him in that 10-12 range give or take. Whether he's worth the upgrade to a team based on cap hit and what assets you have to give up - that's the million dollar question. I totally understand if people say they'd rather just give a 2mil goalie a shot and see how it goes. Especially for a good team like COL</div></div>
Oh I was talking about Georgiev not Jarry sorry for the confusion. And this is all applicable to Georgiev not Jarry, Breaking sticks, accidentally hitting teammates with his stick, literally letting in a the odd super soft goal. All that and he has been horrendous his last 5 outings, yeah the pk has been bad too, but he gave up 22 goals in his last 5 outings and just looked awful. He really hasn’t been good all year and the team did him no favors running Prosvetov as the back up for half the season over playing him particularly in November December and the first part of January playing him 30 times in that stretch. His QS% and GSAA stats I like to look at are career lows the GSAA is an atrocious -12.1. Good talk my friend!

There is a better chance of me playing for the Avs then them trading assets and taking on a $3.5M 3rd pairing dman, especially considering they could just re-sign Walker for something close to that. Easy no.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>JSEB93</b></div><div>Yeah I gotcha - that's what we're here for haha - just throwing out our opinions. Love the conversations.
I mean Jarry would kind of fit that bill though no? If you give the guy average defense he'll drop like a .915. Sure he's not perfect, some injuries and consistency things - but that's what separates the elite from the good. His games started would say that overall he's still a relatively available goaltender as well - probably mid 50 starts a year.
I definitely understand the cap hit point though. Just because a guy is an upgrade doesn't mean he's worth it. That's why I said I'm not saying COL would accept the trade.</div></div>
I mean honestly the answer is going to go one of three ways. 1) Georgiev rights the ship and takes them on a deep run then it’s all moot. All he really has to do is be .900 as COL is the highest scoring team and 5v5 team this year. 2) Georgiev stumbles, Annunen comes in does what he has done so far in the regular season and takes them on a deep run and the solution long term has been solved. 3) they both struggle and the Avs are out in the first or second round and they are looking for a new starter and then anybody including Jarry is an option. Honestly I’ve seen a fair share of games (perk of work the seats are exceptional) in person and he has just look beat after he gives up a goal, and his antics down the stretch are not well received by the team as a whole.

They had hard choices to make in that off season. If they had known Landy was going to miss the next 2 years I’m sure they would have done things differently, but they decided to give the money to Landeskog, Nichushkin, Lehkonen and Manson and let Kadri and Kuemper walk. Not going to lie I thought they would bring Kuemper back the minute they gave Nichushkin his deal, at the time I thought he would go for a closer to Rust deal, that ship sailed.

You aren’t getting any trade protection on any picks when you are trading for a top 15 player, and there isn’t a chance that package nets Rantanen unless this years pick is the top pick and even then regardless of their cap situation COL isn’t doing that.

Honestly COL is on the verge of an existential crisis in goal. Georgiev has been horrendous, in his last 5 games he is 1-4 didn’t make it out of the first period in one game and gave up 22 goals. Yeah the d has struggled mightily but COL has to have at least a steady goaltender that is available and gives them .900 goal keeping. Honestly no answer is really off the table, but one thing that can’t happen is they take on a bigger cap hit than Georgiev. That’s my two cents at least.

Bringing Graves back on that contract would be disastrous. No way no how would I do that. And unless there is a deep playoff run you can’t run Georgiev back no with how he has played in 24.

I don’t think that’s as impressive as you do and he has missed time on 4 different occasions since January of 23.

AJ Greer ensured he would never be back in COL one October night in MIL and then double downed on that another night in NY shortly thereafter. They aren’t trading Wood, Colton maybe, and well I think they can get more for Georgiev but there is another dude who melted his way out the door.

Yeah not good on any front for COL, SJS is finally embracing the rebuild so that move makes no sense for them, and that d-corp woof that 3rd pairing. I really think Georgiev is just going to be traded though not for Jarry who can’t stay healthy, and no way Manson gets traded.

Value is fair but there is zero chance COL is bringing in a $3M bottom 6 player. Actually if there was a number less than zero that’s what it would be. Yeah there is -5 chances of COL doing that.

CF is out of control. COL isn’t trading a prospect AND a 1st round pick to switch from a head case to do who is always hurt. Easy no. COL literally dumped $8M of contract and got back a top 4 dman for a first. Easy no every day.

I don’t know what happened to him but Georgiev is toast. The dude is so fragile mentally he can’t even stop a wrap around with a 3 goal lead. COL is burning a career year by MacKinnon just running him out in goal. I saw some crazy stat that when COL gets .900 not .910 not even .905 just .900 goal tending they are like 26-2, unless Georgiev plays spectacular in the playoffs there is no way you can bring him back. The melt downs the last month or so are mind boggling, breaking sticks, throwing stuff, 4 goals in 15 minutes in a must win game, he’s given up 22 goals in his last 5 that’s 4.4 goals a games. And most damning is you can tell the team doesn’t believe in him anymore.

Re-Tool 4
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Riddick1919</b></div><div>Really?
How is it unrealistic? How many points do you think Tkachukl gets playing alongside MacKinnon? His usual 80 points or so? Try 90-95 points.... which would be like 10 points less than Rantanen.... Rantanen doesn't fight, is never near the league lead in hits, and shots.... Brady is top 5 in both every single season. He is the game's best power forward and it isn't even close. They get Brady for 4 years at $8.2M.... Colorado will get 10 more points for $4M more in cap hit, receive less hits, less intimidation, Brady fights.... The issue is, Ottawa has done too much losing and the point is to get aherad of him asking for a trade.... Rantanen who has his cup will take the overpayment to play here. Otttawa losing so much put themselves in that spot. If anything it's a deal Ottawa doesn't do and roll the dice they make the playoffs. But if a deal like that came up, I'd consider it.....</div></div>
Bro you’re getting crushed by everybody and instead of using you know your brain and acknowledging it’s an awful one sided trade you are doubling down. Way to go Don Quixote. 😂

Re-Tool 4
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Riddick1919</b></div><div>Brady is nearing that place where it's time to ask for a trade out of Ottawa.... If that happens? We likely get a very small package back for him. Rantanen will be expensive, but has a cup ring, can be a 100 point player but will be paid equally for what he produces. Yes Brady will provide better bang for the buck at his current salary but like I said, if Ottawa fails to make the playoffs next season he might start hinting he wants out. Moving him to Colorado for that package ensures we get solid pieces for him. Most of Colorado's fans don't see that Rantanen scores 104 points playing next to MacKinnon... Brady is basically an 80 point player playing with Norris and Pinto....ROLMFAO.... Like if Brady was playing nexct to MacKinnon he's still likely to hover around the 80 point mark..... ROFLAMO.... He'd be close to 90-95 points, lead the league in hits, fights, shots.... Where does Rantanen fit in those areas? Colorado would be STUPID not to take it.</div></div>
Confirmed guy is going for most bad takes in one thread.
