If you look at Nuutivara trade, you realize moving cap is impossible if you want value
Nuutivara is = to Kulak. because he's -1m less, might a late pick
If it wasnt the flat cap situation, im confident Kulak gets at least a 4th

Kulak a top 4 D ? on a pretty weak team maybe . 1 season of 70 pts isnt proven Domi has the potential to be a 70 pts guy but hes not proven . if that were the case jonathan cheechoo would be considered a proven 50 goal scorer ! i agree however that roslovic and the 10th oa arent worth Domi and the 16th oa add to that perrault contract and this isnt very interresting imo
Domi for Rackell i would consider

ott would be lucky to get bryon as they have few nhl players ,on their team and you need leadership for the kids and byron is one i=of the fastest skaters in the nhl....ottawa would be so lucky,,,but montreal isnt trading him unless they get a star and need his cap space.....byron can play 3 or 4 line and kill penalties and move up if their are injuries.. valuable guy ... 6 round pick that is like garbage.... he is an assistant captain for crissakes...

Still not a fan. I like Bouchard, and Puljujarvi too much. They are core pieces to our roster in a year, or two. 2021 isn’t as deep as a draft as this year as well.

There's little to no chance Danault will be moved. There's an article on the athletic with the Petry signing that Gallagher and Danault are priorities for Bergevin and Petry is quoted as saying a big reason thats hes staying in Montreal is because he spoke with those two players last week about building a winning foundation

Doubtful either leaves. A lot of heresy. They have cap room and team control on Domi. The Petry signing puts a premium on going for it in the next few years. Their prospects and picks will be in play. Ryan Poehling looks to be a guy on the outs along with their draft picks. Tatar is another as a trade chip to exchange money.

I really hate to be a dick, but he wants a chance to win a cup and that's not happening anytime soon in AZ. It seems inevitable that he's going to CGY, but if not, it will be to a team that has a chance to win.

Rumour What do you think
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Windjammer</b></div><div>You don't follow hockey at all do you. I'm saying Laine had 36 goals as an 18 year old rookie, while Suzuki had a whopping 41 points as a21 year old rookie. Lol
Suzuki can't even sniff Laine's jock strap. Laine is a far superior player.</div></div>
I for one always thought a centres value out weighed a wingers value by quite a bit .. The way its looking suzuki has the potential to be a high end #1 centre(judging by his playoff performance) .. Laine has potential to be high end #1 winger once he finds his consistency ... so to say suzuki cant even sniff laines jock is ridiculous...

Rumour What do you think
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Windjammer</b></div><div>Conversely a center with a meh rookie season and a okay defensive prospect doesn't get close to a 1W. Laine had almost as many goals as an 18 year old as Suzuki had points as a 21 year old getting 1C minutes on Montreal. :tearsofjoy</div></div>
Suzuki has 41 points in a shortened season, while playing on the 2nd/3rd line routinely with guys like Armia and Drouin. Then he blew up the playoffs, showing veteran poise and slick skills.
You didn’t watch the WJC this year. Romanov was arguably the best defenceman in the tournament(yes, even better than Byram) and scored point per game and led Russia to a silver medal, where they lost to an insane Canada team. He is not a ‘meh’ prospect. He is a better prospect than anyone in your system except Heinola.
It seems to me like you either don’t watch hockey at all or only watch games where Laine scores, which are not too often(the consistency thing again). Okay, he ALMOST scored 40 goals playing with Scheifele and Wheeler on the PP, and with Ehlers on 5v5(who you always says sucks when talking about Laine but when Ehlers himself is the trade target, he is a superstar to you).
We in the Montreal Canadiens fan base and organization think that Patrik Laine is not worth our top prospects. He is an inconsistent diva tbh. We would much rather Ehlers.

The Laine for Domi, Danault, and + trade is interesting. Don't think it would happen but for it to have a chance Domi and Danault would have to be signed to much longer contracts.

Realistic
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>YTSnipeCity</b></div><div>So Domi for Ehlers straight up?</div></div>
Personnaly I think it’s fair, if a pick or mediocre prospect had to be added by the habs I’d be ok. Jets would be a good fit for Domi, he’d feed well off the Jets crowd and would have some skilled line mates with him.

The Blues <em>might </em>consider that. I personally don't think it's wise to trade off a cheap contributor trending up, so I'd prefer to just take your 3rd for Allen straight up.

Can we afford to overpay Duchene
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Goldninja0</b></div><div>Duchene is not a Kucherov-level player, is he? He isn't even a Stamkos level player and you want to give him 10 mil</div></div>
Comparables don't work that way. Stamkos signed in 2016. Kucherov was an RFA who took a team discount.
Same logic: Kevin Hayes just signed for $7M+. Is Duchene not a Hayes level player?
