That would receive exactly zero consideration from the Jets.

Well every media outlet I've seen off youtube or the news suggests otherwise lmao. As a jets fan which im guessing u are. Would u not want 2 2nd line centres? Domi has a potential to get 70+ points again and Danault is a top 5 Selke nomine. Along with Kulak who can play top 4 minutes and a 2nd which could also be an Alex Debrincat, Sebastion Aho or whoever. U could also put Chiarot who Winnipeg apparently wants back, who could play 25+ mins a night on the top pair

Every hockey insider is reporting that when teams call Chevy's asking price for Laine is astronomically high and this offer wouldn't qualify as that.

Danault is a rental, so not much value.

Domi is 2 years from UFA and wanting to be overpaid long term or force his way to UFA and is poor defensively, so not really a fit.

Kulak is a bottom pairing defenseman at best and equal players can be found on waivers for free.

A second is a second.

The Jets would be far better of just holding onto Laine if this is the best offer they got.

Start with Suzuki and Romanov if you want Chevy to take you seriously.

Haha umm no. Danault isn’t a rental u could easily sign him, same with Domi. And kulak is a 2nd pairing dman hes proven that in the playoffs. Same with Chiarot if he were to be included aswell. Ur basing ur opinions off a little bit too much from franchise mode

Laine’s inconsistency is not worth Zuke and Romanov

Conversely a center with a meh rookie season and a okay defensive prospect doesn't get close to a 1W. Laine had almost as many goals as an 18 year old as Suzuki had points as a 21 year old getting 1C minutes on Montreal. tears of joy

This is how I know u don’t watch hockey lol. Suzuki most of the regular season played 3rd line C and occasionally 2nd line wing. He only started playing top line in the playoffs and showed he’s the best player on the team. And he’s also 21 not 18. You’d be a horrible GM

Suzuki has 41 points in a shortened season, while playing on the 2nd/3rd line routinely with guys like Armia and Drouin. Then he blew up the playoffs, showing veteran poise and slick skills.

You didn’t watch the WJC this year. Romanov was arguably the best defenceman in the tournament(yes, even better than Byram) and scored point per game and led Russia to a silver medal, where they lost to an insane Canada team. He is not a ‘meh’ prospect. He is a better prospect than anyone in your system except Heinola.

It seems to me like you either don’t watch hockey at all or only watch games where Laine scores, which are not too often(the consistency thing again). Okay, he ALMOST scored 40 goals playing with Scheifele and Wheeler on the PP, and with Ehlers on 5v5(who you always says sucks when talking about Laine but when Ehlers himself is the trade target, he is a superstar to you).

We in the Montreal Canadiens fan base and organization think that Patrik Laine is not worth our top prospects. He is an inconsistent diva tbh. We would much rather Ehlers.

You don't follow hockey at all do you. I'm saying Laine had 36 goals as an 18 year old rookie, while Suzuki had a whopping 41 points as a21 year old rookie. Lol

Suzuki can't even sniff Laine's jock strap. Laine is a far superior player.

Montreal has nothing in their entire organization that gets them close to players of Ehlers or Laine's skill level.

a reasonable person would think that they do

Tomas Tatar, a high-end rental that is expendable. Multiple teams would gladly give up a first rounder for him

Ryan Poehling, decent middle six center prospect, a guy who can step in and make an impact next season. He could really help your depth

Max Domi, high-end 2C(which the Jets by the way desperately need) that can get 60 points in his sleep. Also expendable

Any pick we have that’s not 15th overall(we have three second round picks)

So say again that the Habs have nothing that interests the Jets and I’m adding you to my ignore list

Of those players absolutely none of them are of interest for Laine or Ehlers. Laine or Ehlers start with Suzuki or Kotkaniemi and Montreal adds from there of course.

Rentals like Tatar, busts like Poehling and players looking to be overpaid or force their way to UFA in two years like Domi, don't hold as much value to other teams when asking for young, elite players as you think they dio.

I for one always thought a centres value out weighed a wingers value by quite a bit .. The way its looking suzuki has the potential to be a high end #1 centre(judging by his playoff performance) .. Laine has potential to be high end #1 winger once he finds his consistency ... so to say suzuki cant even sniff laines jock is ridiculous...

cuz the guy prolly bases the value of players based off their franchise mode value bar
