<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TJTwolf</b></div><div>I certainly don't intend to destroy your pipe dream, everyone is entitled to one (my personal one involves a three way that has nothing to do with hockey but we all have one!) and yes PART of my complaint was about the lines and an important 12th forward who needs to be able to come in and compete. O'Connor is not that. Plus if your lines are bad you WON'T be a contender. I don't think the conditional pick is necessary on the Hall trade and as I stated you're having a laugh if you think the Drouin trade is even. You also have to remember if the Avs draft Byram he's still probably going to be a couple of years from the NHL as yet so keeping Girard makes total sense, not trading him for a guy who is at best reticent when it comes to using his ability. So no, not a hater and don't bother posting a team if you can't take the criticism!</div></div>

Youre right about Girard &amp; Drouin Montreal would probably have to pay more. as for Byram, he said at the combine he is ready, ill take his word over some random. Your "criticisms" were about 1) the lines, which i just threw together &amp; Bednar blender is a thing so they are never set in stone, 2) the 12th forward which is probably the easiest role to fill on a roster and 3) sandpaper and grit with nate &amp; Rants? both of which are bulls on the puck and great forecheckers. like is mack's not 6'0 &amp; Mikko 6'4? its not like i put drouin with jost &amp; kerfoot.
Its all moot because its based on duchene signing which is unlikely to happen. But sakic does have alot of options to make this team's 2nd line better then it is right now. Starts with the draft

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Frankyhabs</b></div><div>(Habs fan here) I love the MTL-COL trade !
Would you do drouin for Girard (one for one)</div></div>

no i wouldn't. we need to send cap space with girard back anywhere we trade him.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>OldNYIfan</b></div><div>P.S. The conditional pick would have to be in 2021, not 2020</div></div>
Correct that was a mistake i made. Jost + Barbs + 2019 16th overall + Conditional 2020 1st (Hall signs before the draft = 2020 1st / After the draft = 2021 1st / doesnt sign = 2021 3rd)

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>coga16</b></div><div>Holy crap that girard trade is terrible, a complete train wreck</div></div>

if we draft Byram, one of our D has to go, whether its Barrie (the peoples choice, Not mine and hopefully not sakic's), Zadarov (brings something very important, hitting &amp; intimidation.), Johnson ( my choice, but a tricky NMC), Cole (not good enough to get anything worthwhile, might as well ride the contract out ala soderberg). Girard is the only one that has enough value to bring something back that can be added to the top 6. I may have undervalued him a tad. Girard + 47 for Drouin + 15.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TJTwolf</b></div><div>Drouin for Girard.....you're having a laugh! Highly doubtful Duchene signs for the Avs. Drouin with MacK and Rants would be awful. No true grit and sandpaper power forward. That's Landy's role. O'Connor by the way is pretty bloody awful too.</div></div>

I know its a pipedream Duchene signs here but he is exactly what the Avs need &amp; Col is his home. COME HOME DUTCHY!! i would welcome him back with open arms. dont ruin my dreams hater. Your critique is about the lines and the 12th forward....... the lines and the 12th forward, think about that and then see if you can tell me that team is not a Stanley cup contender
