I don't think we add. I think we take our "chances" with Mitts and watch him develop into a good top 6 player for us

Lol you’d be lucky to get a 3rd round pick for how galchenyuk has played the last two seasons

After trading Rask and Galchenyuk for those returns, you only question if you were getting too much for Dumba?

That's too much for Zucker. Aston-Reese is literally one of the best defensive wingers in the league.

"Minnesota needs a sniper."
Anaheim needs Dumba or Spurgeon.
Therefore, no deal.

Don't call it a retool or rebuild, they were never good, so it's just a tool or a build

OK maybe not injury prone but he missed half the season with a torn ACL and still may miss the beginning of this season.

You can’t salary dump to Vancouver. They’re about to be/are already in the beginning stages of cap purgatory.

MN wild full rebuilding
Well, the resulting team is certainly a contender in the Lafreniere sweepstakes, but I don't think Philadelphia is interested in either Zucker or Dubnyk and Dumba is one of the core players around whom the Wild should be rebuilding. Plus, I very much doubt that Toronto can take on the additional cap hit from what looks to me like a trade that heavily favors Minnesota.

I did want them to give Donato a chance but theres no chance he wouldve been able to play those type of minutes in the playoffs. I love donato and was upset when they traded him but Coyle had the size and twoway ability to play big minutes in the playoffs. Not a chance that Donato wouldve been able to do that. Dont say "what if" because he just wouldnt have been able to, period

Lmao that deal is awful for Ottawa. Rask is godawful, and he's locked up long term at an expensive AAV. Pageau is good, and he's a UFA so there's a lot of flexibility
