I don't lmfao, 10Mil is not a pretty number when the Rangers need to sign young guys in the next year to two years. At this point, I see so much about the Rangers and their offers currently that I just believe they will get him at this point.

so you are going to basically write this kid off for the 20 games he played in a COVID season. The kid can score goals and that 2018 draft was deep in the first round, but there are still some players that are just beginning their career (I.e. Noah Dobson (1 year), Kotkaniemi (2 years), Farabee (1 year), etc). The only guys that have played since they were drafted I believe are Svechnikov and Dahlin...

Center Depth Change
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>DavidS36</b></div><div>Goodrow wasn't the 3C on Tampa, Gourde was. Goodrow played the 3LW in Tampa but can also play center... A Strome deal at the deadline would NOT be a cap dump. Strome will be UFA at the end of this upcoming season a trade at the deadline would be selling him off at the price of a rental. There is no reason to sell on him now unless you are using him to get a objectively better center to play 2C. Worse possible outcome is you hold onto him try to make a playoff run and lose him for nothing in free agency.</div></div>
The both of them were 3C's Goodrow took more draws throughout the year. I have proof but its off a website my team and I use for video. Also, I didn't mean to say cap dump, but I am afraid that he will not have a good year or a year up to the standards of how he has been playing and it diminishes his value. This team won't make a playoff run unless the young guys step up big time. The D are super young still so there won't be anything besides a quick exit for this team if they do make playoffs.

Center Depth Change
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>DavidS36</b></div><div>You went from having a clear 1C (Zibanejad) and 3 3C (Goodrow, Strome, Chytil) quality centers to two 3C (Goodrow and Dvorak). Don't get me wrong I think Rangers trading for Dvorak would be great but if you do make that trade, you don't move Strome until the deadline (depending on playoff contention), have Goodrow center your 4th line and move Chytil to 3RW.
Arizona needs a goalie, the trade should most likely focus around Georgiev instead of a center to replace Dvorak in the Yotes lineup</div></div>
I agree that Goodrow and Dvorak are 3C's on a Center Depth team (like Tampa, just using them since Goodrow was a 3C there). If the Rangers wait till the deadline to get rid of him, they may not get what they want for him because its a cap dump? But it could be right and go the other way that a team over prices him and spends more to get him. I would rather sell him now while his potential is there because if he doesn't have a great season, then getting rid of him can be an issue.

okay sounds good. Legit was only looking for your opinion, not trying to be a dick lol. But yah I agree with Krav. Chytil can be something, but i honestly think he is soft and won't develop the correct way or into the player that they thought he could be.

They would buy him out at the end of his contract like they have done with everyone else. Draft picks are too valuable to just throw away.

Its still a source lol whether it is a good source or a bad source and its really not a bad offer tbh. Schneider is a good prospect, Chytil is still 21 years old and has potential. GEO is an NHL ready goalie. The Rangers have in reality 1-2 on the roster that are tagged as "Elite" and one in the system who they are not willing to part ways with. Eichel is damaged good as of right now and depending upon how long this takes, teams are less likely to make the trade until the price is right because he will be granted the opportunity of getting the surgery which will leave him out of hockey for either 6-10 weeks or 3 months depending upon which surgery he gets, so chances of an ELITE player coming back from the Rangers is less likely. I mean maybe Kakko but I honestly don't tag him as Elite.

Yah i get that but if they were to trade for Dvorak, it would probably take Chytil which would mean they get a legit center in return. Chytil is not great in the center circle. GEO is just a part of it because Arizona's goalies are on their way out.

Moving out a 3C to get a 2C? an actual 2C with Goodrow as 3C, thats a pretty good center set up in my opinion. Strome is not good in the center circle and neither is Chytil which is why they would probably move him to the wing because Goodrow is a better center than him. Dvorak is a great 2-way forward that can score and produce.

how? Dvorak takes stromes place as a younger 2c with panarin and goodrow is a center who wins almost 50% of his draws. Dvorak is a good player that may flourish with panarin

I agree, but I am worried that they will try to sell for less in the scheme of trying to get a bidding war and Drury falling for it and giving this up

So you get basically an NHL ready starter that is proven to play well in big moments/is young. Get a depth center/winter in Chytil that can potentially become a second line center, Kravstov is a goal scorer and isn't proven to be yet because he hasn't played NHL games, and Braden Schneider who is a great defensive prospect that averaged a pt per game in the WHL. I am not over hyping these players either by all means. They are super young prospects with potential to become big depth players down the road.

not really. Rangers don't need him. It is only going to screw with things in the coming years, especially with the fact that Fox, Kakko, and Kravstov are coming up on new deals. Mika as well, but if we get Eichel, he is most likely gone or sign for less money, Fox will have to sign for less money, and Kakko/Kravstov will need to sign a 3 year bridge deal.
