Eichel Trade Some Sources have said

Created by: aastorino1993
Team: 2021-22 New York Rangers
Initial Creation Date: Aug. 3, 2021
Published: Aug. 3, 2021
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
I have seen this mix multiple times in a trade for Eichel.

This trade will send Chytil, Schneider, and Geo along with a 1st/2nd round pick. Eichel will come with 20% retained by Buffalo meaning 8mil is what the Rangers will spend on him for the next 4 years.

The strome trade is something that I did and I honestly only think it will pull either a 3rd or a 2nd round pick and not both, but I put both because I am greedy.

Igor signed for 6x6 and Goodrow will center that 3rd line.

This has nothing to do with bias. One has excelled in a much better league against men, the other excelled in an inferior league in a suspect season. That's not bias, it's proof. Do you have an actual argument or are you just going to keep calling me biased as if that will get you out of this.

How is one season suspect and not the other? How is it fair to say compare the 2 leagues when one player doesnt even have the option to play in a mems league. How about this Schneider excelled much better than Johansson in the last 2 years in their respective leagues despite being younger. NHLe tools even project Schneider to have better production than Johansson

I wasnt wrong about anything, you massively overvalue your prospects that is very clear as day.

Like you literally said "Albert Johansson is a better prospect than Schnieder, Veleno is comparable to Chytil." That is so absurdly biased and you are the one who is unable to see that.

It's indicative of your lack of an argument that you've resorted to calling me biased. I have provided a clear argument as to why I think what I do, Your argument seems to be I'm biased. You provided no proof of that just name calling and hyperbole. You have also not provided a single argument of your own as to why Schneider is a better prospect.

Yes I have, I've said multiple times now that he's literally projected by experts to be a better prospect. Schneider also played in the AHL for a short stint this year, pretty good odds he was on the 1st or 2nd pair there

I don't care about either team but it is very annoying when someone cites "sources" and then fails repeatedly to link them upon request. Very Hockeybuzz-esque of you.

So are they really “sources”
or ppl without connections throwing bs out there ???

I just don’t see ANY way the Sabres would move Eichel without getting some high end pieces back

And these are all “secondary” imo

Its still a source lol whether it is a good source or a bad source and its really not a bad offer tbh. Schneider is a good prospect, Chytil is still 21 years old and has potential. GEO is an NHL ready goalie. The Rangers have in reality 1-2 on the roster that are tagged as "Elite" and one in the system who they are not willing to part ways with. Eichel is damaged good as of right now and depending upon how long this takes, teams are less likely to make the trade until the price is right because he will be granted the opportunity of getting the surgery which will leave him out of hockey for either 6-10 weeks or 3 months depending upon which surgery he gets, so chances of an ELITE player coming back from the Rangers is less likely. I mean maybe Kakko but I honestly don't tag him as Elite.

They aren't worth listing because they aren't good sources in my opinion, this is me just seeing what the outcome would be like so before you start coming at my neck about citing sources, read the rest of the comments.

no hockeybuzz didn't say this. I don't follow them on twitter, I am in NYR discord that it showed up in their media feed from one of the twitter pages they follow.

None of them are the type of pieces that could get Eichel
They aren’t trash, but like i said- they’re “secondary”
Hard pass- not even close

And if u really think Eichel is “damaged goods” then u shouldn’t even want him

Thats the problem though, what are you expecting to get? Zero chance you get Lafreniere, unlikely to get Kakko. So odds are tou are going to get a collection of decent assets like Colorado did with Duchene (just on a bigger scale).

As for why he hasnt been move I would say NYR refusing to trade Schneider (who is in this proposal) is a pretty big reason

He hasn’t been traded bc we are refusing to “sell low”
And i don’t even like Lafreniere of Kakko anyways
NyR doesn’t have the pieces I’d like back for Eichel
Very unlikely he goes there

I don't lmfao, 10Mil is not a pretty number when the Rangers need to sign young guys in the next year to two years. At this point, I see so much about the Rangers and their offers currently that I just believe they will get him at this point.

If you don’t want him,
then why are you trading for him here

It’s laughable dude

Because its a fake GM and I can? I have made several without him, but the way the things are trending in terms of media releasing things is that the Rangers will eventually trade for him. So why not make one with him in it?

your argument makes 0 sense, but yes I agree, but Buffalo wants more and they won't get more, Eichel will be at buffalo training camp

Sure dude, keep making crappy trade offers for a guy u supposedly don’t even want
That’s a very constructive use of time
Good luck with that

Here’s what NyR actually needs to give up to get Eichel:
Fox & Shesterkin/Lafreniere…. Just to start
Then add a couple prospects on the level you’re offering,
or 1st round picks
Then add in the players u wanna get rid of for Cap purposes to make Eichel fit for you

Short of something along those lines,
I doubt the Sabres will even consider it
We’ve proven by now that we aren’t gonna “sell low”
