<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TagesMissedShots</b></div><div>Tjm220 is correct, Asplund, Mittelstadt, and Thompson were the most consistent line last year for the Sabres (which should really tell you a lot). With that in mind, I don't see Thompson, Asplund, or Mittelstadt getting moved this year, certainly not for Vladar and a 6th a year from now.</div></div>
Lol you obviously don’t understand who vladar is lol, once ulmark leaves you vladar would have been your best goalie maybe do your research. I know who Thompson is lol his long lasting memory in Boston will be when he Decided to challenge kevan Miller to a fight and got his butt whooped, kid got fed his medicine. Still I don’t see Thompson as being a 40 point player, Thompson and asplund will most likely always be third line hustle guys and if either them were to even touch 40 points it would be asplund middlestadt is the only player you mentioned that will actually be a huge difference maker for Buffalo he actually progressed forward finally, I can’t wait to see him have another breakout year and I’m a bruins fan I just liked the kid. But ya sorry thinking Thompson will be a 40 point guy or a 20 scorer is just not that realistic he hasn’t made the jump yet to prove he is capable of doing that I’ve watched quite a few Buffalo games and never was Thompson a super standout player

1 year deals on Krejci and Rask. Save as much as possible for McAvoy.

Tons for next year, but be careful. Mcavoy will need 10 mill the following year.

When I said "They get 6M" i meant top tier goalies, not Krejci. 5M seems more in line for him. It was his term which was a concern and I see that it has been changed.

Like Gryzlcyk with his skill and skating but Lauzon gives us some size, toughness and decent skating. What do you think Lauzon be in 1 or 2 years? Might be wrong but stand by it.</div></div>
I just can’t think of many ideas worse than protecting lauzon over grzelcyk. One is just so much better than the other.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>bahston</b></div><div>It seemed like a set back year to me this year for Studnicka, he looked a lot better in the bubble of 2020 then he did in his games this year at the wing. So i assumed they were working on his game at center Prov. to get him ready to go when there’s a spot. Although, they brought in another center at the deadline, so a little confused where they’re headed with him.
Yeah would much prefer Lindholm to Hanifin but their GM seemed very confident about resigning him. Hanifin probably isn’t much of an improvement or what we need for that spot.</div></div>
There’s a purpose to going after a lindholm type. There’s no purpose to going after a hanifin type.
As for studnicka, i thought he was playing great. Then he got hurt, and i think they thought it better to let him spend some time getting to speed in the AHL. But he’s played five games. It’s not like they sent him down to work on stuff.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>bahston</b></div><div>Yeah that’s a good point about the Left side being a spot they’re trying to fix from within. Only issue is if you’re resigning guys like Krejci and Rask to 1-2 year deals then you can’t really wait for the kids to grow.
Yeah agree, Kase is a massive reach. Figured could give him an incentive type contract if he can even play anymore. I Stayed away from Studnicka at RW because I thought they were trying to develop him as a center.
If you go with internal options at LD what do you do with Debrusk, hang on to him and put him at 3RW again?</div></div>
Yes on debrusk.
Studnicka has to be in the NHL next year. Ditch Kase and ritchie if need be. They’ve played him at wing.
The kids have grown. They’ve looked good. Let at least one of them play the left side. The way i see it you’ve made the left side very very very marginally better. If you were going to go get an actual good left d, i might look at it differently.

I don't want him for that price. He *looks* like a good hockey player, but doesn't even carry his own contract's weight

Too much $$$ for Krejci and Rask. They need to be resigned, but on more team-friendly deals. I'd look for a more reliable 2nd/3rd line RW than Kase. I'm also willing to bet Lauzon or Zboril are taken over Clifton. Lastly, Beecher is returning to Michigan next year. But if he was to sign, it'd be for the rookie maximum, not minimum ($925K).

If the options are stick with internal options, or go after hanifin, I’d say roll with what the bruins have. I find hanifin so unimpressive.
Shoot for something better, or keep it simple. Lindholm comes to mind. If you’re going to go after a guy like that, can’t re-sign Reilly. The bruins made such a big deal of letting left shot d walk so they could play the young guys they have developed, and you think that’s just going to last a year?
One year deal for krejci btw. Three is crazy.
Ditch kase, insert studnicka.
Kuraly is worth bringing back.

Halak is worth a 3rd.
Avs don’t have a lot of picks. I’d take an ok prospect and a 5th in 22.
I think Debrusk package for Miller and Virtanen would be more receptive from Nucks.

Lines Tonight
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>bahston</b></div><div>Fair. Not punching in the face, but you’ll need some grit come playoffs. You guys used a bit of it tonight, entertaining game.</div></div>
They could use some more grit, but they have to be able to play. Sabourin does not qualify here.
They'd like to add another "Hyman" type (Foligno was probably on their radar), but a full out fighter doesn't have a place on this team. Spezza being the mainstay on the 4th line needs to play with some speed/skill to be effective, so Simmonds is the floor as far of who fits on that 4th line.
At the end of the day though, the core players have to find the extra gear in the playoffs, and being willing to pay the price (see B.Point 2019 playoffs vs. 2020 playoffs as a prime example).
