It was supposed to be A.J+Dermott+2021 2nd for Petry.
Keep in mind Petry will be 1 yr from UFA and is getting 2 young assets who are under control for yrs this is a no brainer deal for the Habs

When this trade would be done A.J will be 100% healthy, I forgot to add a pick to the deal since I was working on making the #'s work.
Now if you some how think a player signed top 6 winger and a a young cost controlled D with upsode isn't worth 1 yr of Petry give your head a shake man

I like Lehk and think his work ethic would rub off, Petry would be a great RD for us as well. I am not sure how realistic my signing are though. I fig Barrie is having a bad yr and may want to take a short term deal to boost his stock.

can we make this work
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>mikearky</b></div><div>I am saying they can go on LTIR on the start of the season but they must be on the roster day 1 then put on LTIR. If they are on LTIR before the start of the season then they are lost for the season.</div></div>
what I am more curious about is what happens with short term injured players? for instance if the Leafs run a 20 man roster on the road and a guy gets a small injury. He can't be sent down or put on LTIR so we wouldn't even have the space to replace 1 short term injury

run a 20 man roster, I just need more info about how non LTIR injuries work. If its a situation where we can just sit player x and call up player Y then running a 20/21 man roster is easy peasy. However if a short term injury sits on the roster then we may to make a move. If Ceci isn't up to par guess who is going on LTIR when they come back.

I swapped Harpur for Sandin and moved up TVR, the price I paid is high but I didn't want to argue value.
All in all I don't think we will get Marner that cheap :(

In a perfect world we can run Reilly-Barrie but I am not sure if they would be able to stop a strong Cycle.
Running Rielly-Ceci and Muzzin-Barrie gives us 1 guy on each pair who can pass/skate and 1 who can get down low and stop the cycle. Just hope it works out that way.

Don't mind me lol I am an idiot, I had it at 23 with Hyman and Dermott on the LTIR and Petan drew in, Agostino as a spare and I ran Holl as an extra on the back end. With Hyman on LTIR I can run 23. With a full roster I can run 21

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>tony135420</b></div><div>Agreed. Initially I had Ceci paried with Muz, however, I decided to move on from Ceci in this fantasy of mine for more sandpaper up front. Dermott is not an ideal 2nd paring RHD, but has shown he can handle it, especially with Muz to lean on. Barrie and Reilly is going to be a hell of a pairing IMHO. As much as I'd like Ferland to sign here, I think Dubas breaks out in hives anytime a Leaf player throws a hit....</div></div>
I think Muzz needs to be with Barrie. Barrie likes to jump up soo does Rielly, I don't feel like watching 3 on 0's lol. Rielly-Ceci may work as a pair. Ceci will have to get down to basics, use his skating/size to limit space and be 1st on the puck on dump ins and above all keep it simple aka give it to Rielly lol

works for me, I also think we don't need anymore trades. I do think you are 1-1.5 mil low on Marner but all we would need to do is run 1 spare instead of 3. I would prefer Bracco over Petan, Mikheyev on the left side, and Sandin over Marincin. I would drop Shore, Holl and 1 of Petan or Agostino then bring up Bracco and Sandin run
Hyman-J.T-Marner
Mikheyev-Matthews-Nylander
Johnsson-Kerfoot-Kap
Moore-Speeza-Bracco
Petan or Agostino as the extra
Reilly-Ceci
Muzzin-Barrie
Sandin-Lilj
Marincin

If anyone is wondering why Ceci is under the 4.3 or 4.5 I read somewhere that they were very close on a 4.5 1 year deal but when the Leafs said they would be willing to go 2 yrs and offer bonus $$ in yr 2 for lockout protection if the AAV came down.

I believe he is planning for player elected arbitration but if he elects to sign the Q.O we just take off 1 of our spares

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jamiepo</b></div><div>The leafs would get full relief from Hyman, Dermott and Horton. They could either spend that relief or more than likely leave enough room for when Hyman and Dermott return. They can be added to SOIR so leafs could theoretically spend right to the max but would need to make a trade to accommodate when they return.
My question is why Marleau and zaitsev are on the roster???? They will be traded July 1st or shortly after.</div></div>
Zaits and Marleau are still there because I wanted to see if a roster could work if the costs to move these players is too much. So even if its too much to move those players all we really loose is 1 of KK or A.J and maybe need to move Brown.
