moving calle gives them 5 active defensemen on their roster, adding petry gives them the 6th, they have approximately 9.5m in cap. idk man ain't for me to figure out it's for stl to figure out

this is a bad take made public

yeah forgot that he was UFA afterwards, and don't feel like going back and editing ahha, I would imagine if they did something like that it would be like a 2-3 year contract valued around Kapanen and Johnsson

I'd say the same as Eichel, but the different is Eichel actually gets frustrated during losses and Matthews is just kinda like "oh whatever"

Toronto why nots
\<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TanSor</b></div><div>Too much for Dumba IMO. I know some Leafs fans hate him on here and think he's another Barrie (he's not), but in reality Nylander for Dumba 1 for 1 is pretty close to fair. Leafs aren't (and frankly shouldn't) trade Nylander unless it's a massive overpayment and Guerin isn't in a position to overpay to get him (and again, frankly shouldn't). I just don't see a fit between the Leafs and the Wild as trade partners because their tradeable assets are Kapanen, Dermott, Johnsson, Bracco and maybe Liljegren and the Wild are overflowing on the wing and on D</div></div>
I'm not even a Leafs fan, this is just genuinely what I feel like most people on here value Dumba at so I tried to keep it real to what people think he's worth lol. I see him as a Barrie replacement and Toronto would let Barrie hit FA

y'know what, that's still 5.5 freed up, I'd be okay with that. I think if they're going for EK65 they SHOULD consider bringing in Methot just to see if they still gel well together. and I figure if they can get him for 2 years around 2.25 then why not? I think as of right now that's about what Methot is worth. Then they could have the 2nd pair of Mete, Weber and then Kulak/Juulsen

There's absolutely 0% chance a turnover machine like Gardiner makes more than 5. I think 3.45 is being way too generous

Unrealistic nucks
There's two reasons why I'm not big on that first trade, the first is I feel it's too much offered for it, and secondly Demko is going to be a superb goalie which Vancouver will need in years to come.

yeah i know its trash
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jamiepo</b></div><div>Too much of a return for zaitsev, due to his contract I would be happy with a 5th but LA doesn’t have the cap space.
The flames trade is tilted our way slightly. I don’t see either player being moved.
The dumba Trade is bad both ways. Too much to give up and the wild have little intrest in Moore.
The 2nd two trades are close but that zaitsev Trade... it’s trash
20 man roster and 90k left over... that’s trash
Walking kappy to ufa... that’s trash
Putting Bennet at centre.... that’s trash
And Marleau on the top line.... yup that’s trash too.
That is all.</div></div>
I get everything else, but the Zaitsev trade I think works, the Washington pick is Pick #87, and I genuinely thought that the Calgary pick was for 2020 that was given for Fantenburg but I guess it's a random 2019 pick that I can't figure out where it came from. Or wait, was that the Calgary pick that Montreal had and was dealt in the Nate Thompson trade?

no clue
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>OldNYIfan</b></div><div>Here's what the three gentlemen above mean:
1. Marleau isn't going anywhere.
2. The Nylander-for-Pesce ship has sailed.
3. There's no way Tampa Bay trades away the #27 pick for a bunch of picks starting in the 80's.
4. Toronto can't afford to trade Kadri for RNH and absorb $1.5M additional in cap hit. One of the prices for such a trade is that, as your roster shows, Toronto can't afford to re-sign Andreas Johnsson.
But you did well to note that there are some teams in the Western Conference that, contrary to half of Leafs Nation, think Nikita Zaitsev would be worth acquiring for a positive return, no matter how limited.</div></div>
Primarily just bored and wanted to see what dumb stuff I could actually do on this (first time using the Armchair GM aspect of the website), but yeah, Zaitsev has more value to most struggling western teams than he would for Toronto. I mean sure that cap is a bit high for what he's capable of, but as a Habs fan I know I can't really talk because of Alzner's contract.
