They don’t need picks and Kakko is helping them lmao
Let me guess, you’re just looking at his stats, seeing low points and saying “he sucks, he isn’t doing anything” lmao

If Drury pulled this off he’d win GM of the year hands down. Out of almost 12m in cap space and get a decent young player.. it’s a win

This deal is absolutely LAUGHABLE from the Sabres perspective
We can find a top4 RD and “grit” without adding all that Cap
ZERO CHANCE we’d even consider this
It’s pretty ABSURD really

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>busters99</b></div><div>Yes, the NYR likely wouldn't be able to fit him in the cap next year, there is always the trade him before next season scenario but the leverage would be low. For Someone like Tuch, Drury would make room.
What do you see as good value for Krebs, don't name specific players if you don't want to?</div></div>
Personally, if i was the Sabres GM & considering trading Krebs,
I’d ONLY move him for a piece that improves us- even if i had to add to Krebs
Not that u guys would do this….
but something like Krebs + for Schneider
Like i said, no point for us to “sell low” on him
So i really don’t think a Krebs trade would make sense for the Sabres, OR for anyone who’s wanna acquire him

Trade Deadline
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>jfkst1</b></div><div>1. Zac Jones carries little value as he is 23 and not excelling in the NHL. Every team has a Zac Jones and few of them develop into anything worthwhile.
2. Goodrow is a liability. While I am not a huge fan of Laughton, his perceived value is much higher.
3. Gauthier was a much more valuable prospect than Perreault has been. Generally, prospect rankings from shortly before the trade had Gauthier well ahead of Perreault by a good 15-25 spots. So yet again, your valuations are wildly inaccurate.</div></div>
Just to expand on Perreault now, Button just released his top 50 nhl affiliated prospects and Perreault was in the same rank as Gauthier (AA) with Gauthier being ranked 1st and Perreault 7th. My "wildly inaccurate" valuations aren't so wild.

even if the value on both sides equals out- doesn't mean it's a smart deal for NYR.
If they move the 1st, they gotta get back a player with term.
It's gotta stop with the 1 shot rentals!

There’s no chance in hell the Sabres even consider that dude
Bc of Gibson’s age/contract, and with his not great play for YEARS now, i don’t think we’d even swap UPL for him straight up
I know that probably sounds crazy,
but i don’t see ANY way we’d touch Gibson’s contract
No chance dude

The only stat he stayed consistent with was the PK which he was only 5%... NYR do <strong>NOT</strong> need to pay a premium to obtain an underperforming player. He is literally another Goodrow at his current rate (although the retention in the trade helps). Having Goodrow already, NYR should not spend assets to obtain a second one.

Quite a spicy take
Lol Wheeler has a full NTC so he isn’t being traded and his cap hit is $800k so they don’t need to waive him
The problem is NYR fans are expecting 90 point wheeler when he’s just a complementary piece at 37 years old. He’s been fine

Tampa would be crazy if they didn't try to get Stamkos to waive if offered that return. Yeah- he put up 80 points last year...but he'll be 34 at season end. At some point his production will fall off the cliff. The foolish team that signs up for that-after giving a boatload of high end assets- is the type of team that deserves one Cup every 80 or so years- all while setting up TBL for their next contention window!
