LD injury highlights need to keep Nuge Long term
I guess my thinking was sign Maroon long term would get the price lower. I guessed 2-3 years would be 4 mil plus fo Maroon. If he regresses this year maybe it's lower.
I think the other contracts could be higher but it's only a year or two length so why not. I don't think these are going to be massive.
Strome oilers may not be able to sign for so low that I agree but then he maybe traded.
Plus I think Russel and Sekera are tradable. They are not brutal. Would be lower draft picks but they are useful. Sekera or Russel would be assets to Colorado

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>trdeJong</b></div><div>Again you can't send Brouwer down but he can sit in the press box...
As for your line up... Although last night showed that the top line og JH-Mony-Ferland can hold... (on -1) it also showed a serious weakness on the bench.
Putting Versteeg-Bennett-Brouwer out against McDavid was just bad coaching.... Totally exposed Brouwer's weak play...
It should have been the Backlund line to take this line on!!!!</div></div>
Brouwer can be moved to the AHL. He only has a NTC not a NMC.
Also oilers have last change so it makes it harder to get your match ups you want. But Oilers are talented bunch.

Flames Re-Tooled
How was Brouwer in pre Season? Oilers are a great team now. I'd be more worried if this was against Vancouver. Hopefully Flames and Oilers lue up to the hype cause I could use an awesome BOA for the next decade

Nmc would be where you can not send him down. Ntc just means he has to approve any trade he is involved in.
I feel like flames are stuck with him. Was there would if they tried to get Vegas to take him?

Davidson fits in the Avs D, they get a LHD prospect and a goalie prospect.
Galchenyuk is young and Pac is decent. I know what Sakic wants but I think this works.

If the cap actually hit 80 million the oilers would be alright
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>CD282</b></div><div><div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Dylan1995</b></div><div>
Possibly. Wasn't tryng hard with the trade just as to see where we'd be at with the cap when RNH is gone</div></div>
Right, that makes sense. Good roster, although I agree with camshaft that I'd rather have Nuge than Strome, even with the AAV difference. The coming season might change my mind on that, but that's how I feel today. Maybe Montreal would take Strome for Scherbak + a 1st? Of course, then you'd have to find another $2.5M to pay RNH... I suppose bridging Benning and Nurse might be the solution, but then you run the risk of having to pay them $5M+ if they kill it on their bridge deal. I really like your Benning contract, and the Nurse contract could end up being a great value deal too.</div></div>
I'm guessing Benning and Nurse could it it but are not likely to out perform Klef or Larsson. So say the year after they are both worst case 4.1666

I feel like I'd rather have Nuge instead of Strome.
I think Nurse and Benning will need one more season before they are ready to be top 4. But I think Sekera and Russel will be traded in 2 years. That would be my reasoning in signing them to a lower bridge deal and then maybe signing a long term deal similar to Larsson and Kelfbom

Keeping Competitive Year 2
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>oilnate</b></div><div>Nuge or Lucic will have to go</div></div>
So the one thing is Yamamoto will have two ears on his contract as he won't play more than 9 regular season games this year. So I think when Yamamoto's contract needs to be resigned. Nuge or Lucic is gone. But for this year cap is fine. Oilers will need some depth and I don't think Kas would be re signed

I'd rather sign Maroon instead of Hornqvist. Benson hasn't proved anything except that he is injured often. Three rw would be JP, Shlepy, and Yamamoto. LW would be Maroon, Lucic, DC

We will see if he continues to play well but yes someone will take Russel. maybe not a second but it's not a 6/7 He has remained useful and we shall see how it plays out this year. I believe he did really well last year.
