Tampa's pick this year is another top 20 and will net another top prospect. I don't see the value here for Chicago considering where they're at right now. Honestly, Hronek is riding the coat tails of guys like Hughes, Petey, Miller, and Boeser. I like him, he is a good player, but he isn't THIS good. Also, I wouldn't exactly call him a need, either. Maybe a lot of people don't realize it, but hockey fans and scouts are gushing about Moore and teams are wishing they didn't pass on him right about now. If that draft were today, he would more than likely go in the top 10.
What CHI should do, if they are looking for a player like him, is wait until they have most of their pieces in place, then try to find a deal like VAN did when they traded for him, not wait for players like him to pop and then overpay for them. That is something perennial contenders do when they are sick of falling short in the playoffs in recent years. CHI would probably end up squandering most of his prime years, anyway.

I can't see the Pens trading 2 of their top 3 LHD for Boeser - just opens up an enormous hole to fill one that really isn't there.

Accepting a trade that wild fans hate on behalf of the Ottawa Senators
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>sensonfire</b></div><div>1. I'm not denying Myers at 3 million has positive value.
Some fans of the Minnesota Wild appear to be denying that.
2. What would be a better prospect on the Ottawa Senators that is comparable to Addison, in your opinion?
3. The pick is likely in the Top 10 for 2023.
This is where Vancouver's 1st round pick ended up in every year since Jim Benning became the Canucks' GM:
2014 -- 6th overall
2015 -- 23rd overall
2016 -- 5th overall
2017 -- 5th overall
2018 -- 7th overall
2019 -- 10th overall
2020 -- 20th overall
2021 -- 9th overall
In other words, Vancouver drafts in the Top 10 of the first round almost every year.
4. canucksdownunder has already spoken for himself by posting "sydney"

Im gonna work backwards here.
4 - you have no idea what canucksdownunder thinks about this trade. I could take 1 of your trades and make my own comparison and say that you think something that you dont. You cant speak for him here bc you dont know what he thinks here. Maybe he thinks addison is the next cale makar who knows.
3 - just bc theyve drafted there in the past doesnt mean they will in the future. And who said benning will still be there. If i had to bet, if they end up with another top 10 pick (which is where you think theyll draft) in 2022 benning is out.
But either way even if hes still there instead of telling me they will bc they have in the past give me a real reason that they will be bad. Demko looks like the real deal, miller-petey-boeser is a really good 1st line. They added a key player in dickinson as a 2-way 3C. Their D is still a little weak but theyve upgraded it. We will see how OEL does this year. The pacific in 22-23 i envision being something like

Ok wait. There might be something here. Canes can't protect all their dmen. Hamilton signs as a UFA with Vancouver, Vancouver protect Schmidt, Myers and Hamilton?(I mean, besides Hughes who would they wanna protect?) Vancouver trades Hamilton to Carolina after the expansion draft for pieces.
The ask might be a bit much for parking a guy on their roster but this is a big brain GM move that I kinda wanna see.
