San Jose Sharks signed Alexander Barabanov (2 Years / $2,500,000 AAV)
This is a sensational deal for the Sharks. I was expecting Will to give Barabanov a Tanev contract, so the $2.5M/yr hit is a hell of a bargain considering how valuable he has turned out to be for Meier and Hertl's production. He also looks really happy to be given a NHL opportunity with the Sharks, and his enthusiasm plus solid defensive and Top 6 play makes this a win-win for both I suspect.

Love this contract. Waiting for all the off season activities but this deal will be up there as one of the best value signings I believe once the next regular season is completed.

Fiala
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Tintin</b></div><div>Way too much for Fiala, Guerin's fleecing Fitzy here.
Can't see Fiala signing for less than Hischier.
Devils probably don't need Foligno.
Johnsson's so underrated, would rather move Tatar or Zacha before him.
McLeod doesn't belong anywhere other than 4C on any given roster.</div></div>
You mean Fitzy is fleecing Guerin here right? Nothing on that trade entices the Wild to make that trade apart from the 2022 1st. A 22 year old prospect that has hardly cracked a .5 ppg played in the A and LW that Minnesota doesn't need and showed regression this year doesn't get you Fiala and Foligno. The cool part is Minnesota could trade Dumba to Dallas to clear cap and have no issues signing Fiala to a contract he will sign. This will make it so other GM's are going to have to show best offer to even entertain the Wild at trading Fiala. Dumba may go for less but considering Fiala's play this season he's worth a lot more than what Devil fans are showing. Trading quantity over quality won't work here and this trade is quantity.

If jets decided to rebuild they could retain on him and look for a pick or prospect in return.

What the **** are you serious? Not even close. The sharks can absolutely afford Ferraro. especially at the $3 mil AAV you then sign him for when compher has a higher aav and is literally a rental. f they were to trade him they aren’t doing it for a 3rd liner. This is just terrible really. How about Makar for Nieto?

Burns has a 3 team trade list, 100% certainty Buffalo isn't one of those 3 teams. And all California teams are on Dadonov's no trade list due to high taxes.

Exactly. The game 2 stuff was enough already. I know Sutter wants him to be physical like that but he has to sit him down and tell him enough is enough. Can’t afford not having him on the ice did 5 plus minutes at a time

Little bit on both. Sutter also getting out coached over three games. Nothing has been working yet he refuses to change. Game 4 lines will prove if he’s the coach to take a team over the top or just Mike Babcock 2.0

Personally, I don’t see Stankoven staying at Center at the NHL level. I think he becomes a DeBrincat-like player & shifts to the wing of either Bourque or Johnston. If I had to put money on what the top-6 looks like 2 years from now, I’d lean towards something like this:
Hintz-Johnston-Robertson
Stankoven-Bourque-Gurianov

Myers is a pylon, meanwhile Burns puts up 50+ points, doesn’t miss a game and plays top 3 minutes in the league amongst defenseman. Very much the raw end of the deal for San Jose
