unlike Gryz, that is why I don't mind a shuffle of the deck on D. who knows I think that Carlo or Gryz might be moved this offseason. Given Gryz being closer to UFA I think he could be the one, as they need to be harder to play against

Why is zboril returning?</div></div>
The Bruins care as they will restock the system after the assets they moved for Lindholm lol. I think you are severely underestimating Nick Leddy, DeBrusk is a UFA in 24' Boeser would be in 23' Boeser would be way more likely to return than JDB, as he already requested a trade.
Zboril will get steddy, steddy time, and who knows maybe surpasses Leddy in the top 4, and if then Leddy is a great 5th D.

The grzelcyk for Leddy swap is disastrous.
Boeser has a higher QO. If it’s only a 4 year deal, he takes his QO, and hits UFA.
Smith on the fourth line is a waste, regardless of whether or not lysell sticks, which is extremely unlikely.</div></div>
Leddy, 2nd, and 3rd for Gryz isn't diastrous LOL
Boeser could sign that then, then what is the difference of Boeser hits FA and so does JDB? I think I take the gamble of BB over JD returning.
Smith I get but also a UFA at the end of the year, I think he will be a 3rd liner and have Fabian stay in the AHL all year, if he does tear it up, then you have a good problem.

Boeser doesn’t sign that.
A multi year deal for bergeron isn’t a thing.
Grzelcyk trade makes zero sense for boston, and is destructive to the team.
Neither columbus, nor foligno accept that. If foligno does, have to pay to move him.
Leddy stinks.
Don’t see why zboril would stay.
If craig smith is a fourth liner, trade him. He’s far more valuable than that.</div></div>
I think Boeser would be very open to signing that contract, as he is back in the US, and joins his Best Friend Jack Ahcan, and is in a different environment. Bergeron could be a 1 year deal then, Trading Gryz isn't as detrimental as you'd think if you look at the logistics of the team and the Achilles heel, Leddy is extremely comparable to gryz and you open up a bit more cap space to hopefully re-up Pasta. I think that Leddy would be a good veteran to add to the back-end. You can't say he stinks, he hasn't been on a great team the past two years with DET, and has been solid since joining STL, hes a puck mover that will slide in. Smith is as important piece as ever as this line-up is if Lysell sticks with the big club, he won't play on the 4th line, and if they deem he needs more time in the minors then you slide Smith up. Zboril will get more time and actual minutes like he was getting before his ACL blew out.

Seems like a minimum damage type or move but overall you’d still lose a good player</div></div>
Absolutely, I am not sure how that works, I am not sure how movable Coyle really is at that price for the next 4 years

CBJ know, and Fliggy knows, he can retire a Blue Jacket whenever he wants. As such, I am strongly willing to bet CBJ are on his NTC.
Even then, as much as I love me some Captain, objectively CBJ just don't have the roster space for him right now, and that contract is not great. If a trade happens, BOS will have to include an incentive pick/prospect.</div></div>
That very well could be the case, it was one of the only teams that made sense imo.

Bruins New Look
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>CMcAvoy73</b></div><div>It’s unreadable though. You’re posting with the intention of others reading your post. If you’re writing what should be seven sentences without any punctuation, its just not easy to read. Simple literacy stuff here.
As for why horvat would walk, you’re really going to say all that and accuse others of being homers? Well lets count the ways shall we:
1. He would be hitting UFA at 28. That’s an age where teams seem comfortable going max term and overpaying - hitting the market maximizes his value.
2. Let me preface this by saying this is not my opinion, it just seems to be accepted as fact given how frequently front office types speak of it. I love vancouver, its my favorite city in North America. I love canada. Amazing country. But players don’t want to be there. GMs constantly say that if a player has a 10 team no trade list, 9 times out of 10, all canadian teams are on it. It’s likely mostly a tax issue. Players make way more money in the states. It is what it is.
3. The Canucks are bad. They’re not terrible, but it just doesn’t seem like they’re going to be a contender any time soon. The center market is thin, horvat, while not being a top line player, would likely be able to pick a team that has some better pieces.
It’s pretty easy to see why horvat would at the very least test the market. Pretty hard to see why bergeron would.</div></div>
I agree with all of these points, hence the reason why I think it is very plausible for him to test the market and really could be paid somewhere in that ballpark, it might not be 9.5 but a 2-way C that scores 30 goals could command that, this is a deal made in the season as a potential rental into extension, I think that its likely vancouver won't be in contention. Debrusk could be a nice piece for them, Studnicka is unknown, Zboril got off to a great start before blowing out his knee, and the 1st is an essential in a trade for him. I think Carlo has fallen a little bit out of favor, hes at his best when you don't notice him. I think all in all the Bruins could be in the market to shuffle the deck on the defensive side, as well as that true 2c that can be 1c when Bergeron is gone (closer than we think it is). As good as Haula has played this is more of the reasoning than Haula. Horvat is one of the most underrated players in the NHL, would love to see him in Black and Gold.

no chance seattle does that but ide love it. still think we need reilly. even if hes regressing to his norm and last year was a flash in the pan.</div></div>
thoughts on Van deal was to bring them a bit more sandpaper while cutting some cap, Nashville surprisingly are fielding calls on Filip Forsberg which makes me think they would on Ekholm as well, If they can't pry him away I'd love for them to go after a legitimate 1LD and I think Yakov is one of the more underrated up and coming power forwards that plays a pretty solid 200 foot game.
Seattle is a pipe dream however the stage they are in I would not be shocked if they did move Yanni (depending on if he is willing to waive) I think he is the ideal fit with a fair deal/term, and is what the Bruins are sorely missing

I would give a slight edge to Hall based on how long he has done it. Also averaging more points per 82. They are close. I could be convinced Tkachuk is actually better - although Lindholm is better than anyone Hall ever played with.
regardless, it's close enough that it would be insane to give up that much of your future for what would be essentially a lateral move on a guy with one year left and will probably want a pay raise. Hall seems willing to take a little less for the right fit.</div></div>
I totally get this perspective, I think this is more of a collection of what they are missing from a tougher to play against style and the age of Tkachuk, as well as I think the room to grow that Tkachuk could get too. Also to align more of the age of Pasta and give them two high end youngish players moving forward.

This is just an idea on how they will try to revamp especially getting tougher on the D-end. I think Zadorov would be a perfect fit for them, or a player of his caliber at that age. I would love to see Hakanpaa as well fill that bottom pair role, as well as signing a guy like Janmark will provide consistency on L3 while Brown is one of the most underrated players in the league, and could provide some touch on the right side and naturally allow smith to slide down to his natural line and give the bruins an actual L3

Inconsistent and two-way game hasn't quite developed the way Boston had anticipated after a good rookie campaign, Iafallo is one of the most underrated pieces I think that will be avaliable playing with Kopitar, solid 2-way game, possession game will fit Krejci, and ability to produce.
