He could play on your fourth line and 2nd PP, but with all the weapons the sens have it doesn't make sense for him to be on the 4th line. It's a little risky for you guys because he will be 23 in june, so not a lot of runway. But he's a ppg in the AHL right now and has the tools to be a good top nine player</div></div>
might i add too he's never been known to be good defensively. In a perfect world he's your complimentary middle six winger who's on your 2nd PP. His size will be an extra bonus

Update with Zub
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Rob32sjsharks</b></div><div>He is 6'5" 215LBS. why cant he play 4th line for a year?
I mean sharks would hate Zaitsev for a year, but since we aren't winning anything next year and Soklov would be a great add for the future with his size to compliment our smaller stature prospect pool we would do this deal.
(sharks top 6 F prospects being Bordeleau 5'10", Eklund 5'11" Gushin 5'10", Robins 5'8", Weisblatt 5'9" Coe 6'3")</div></div>

JBD and Sanderson were good in college. You know who else played well together in college and on team USA? This guy named Adam Fox and his good friend Ryan Lindgren.</div></div>
doesn't mean its going to translate to the NHL and it doesn't guarantee that JBD will be a top 4 dman

Sanderson and JBD have never played one game together in the pros. We don't need Durzi who is an OFD, we need someone who can be steady back there and with term which is what Murphy has

He played in the OHL so I doubt hes 100% against it. I forgot to put in that it would be summer 2023, so at that point Zaitsev has 1 year left and can help with the hawks tank lol.

Zaitsev sucks and the other pieces aren't much better. Other teams going after Jakob Chychrun would have to give up far better pieces than this to land him.</div></div>
We're paying Tim based on potential, and Cat has most likely hit his full potential. At 25, Stutzle should be a 90 point player. Zaitsev sucks but Arizona is trying to be bad. It's a fair deal on paper, it's just possible Arizona might want different pieces (Greig, Pinto, Sogaard)

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>HockeyIsMyPassion61</b></div><div>A bunch of scraps doesn't get Jaob Chychrun, Besides he's LD not RD.
And a cold day in hell before Alex DeBrincat signs that cheaply. He has a 1 yr $9,000,000 qualifying offer. he'll get just like Matthew Tkachuk 8 x $9,500,000 or he walks.</div></div>
Tim Stutzle likely will be the best player going forward, so signing cat to more than him doesnt make sense. The players aren't "scraps". Plus this is Chychrun were talking about, not Makar. If formenton isn't guilty (we'd find out by next summer prob), then he's a valuable player. Thomson is on the cusp of being an NHL defenseman, and should be around this time. He has top 4 potential. Chychrun has played RD. As for cat, he's gonna wait it out. But all players of the core took long contracts that are all reasonably priced. I wouldn't expect a 9.5 price tag
