no the jets offered ehlers for ristolainen.

who wants Johnson
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>tkecanuck341</b></div><div>Oh I misunderstood your post. I thought you were saying Tampa shouldn't trade him unless someone offered a 1st.
I think Johnson has value and that someone would take his contract. They wouldn't pay anything for it, but I think they'd take him off waivers.</div></div>
waivers is an interesting option but johnson really skates like lead out there and i'd be worried he'd demotivate the younger guys with actual speed.

yeah i'd gladly take sergachev or cirelli instead of a first.

Laine discussion
I'm not sure Laine would be a good fit for the Sens, excluding his potentially massive trade cost (and if I'm Winnipeg I'm definitely grabbing Shane Pinto) he is terrible in his own end. Even on a team with a better D core than the Jets Ottawa just doesn't have that gamebreaker in net to whisk away Laine's heavy defensive faults. Picking up Laine could end up with the Senators shooting themselves in the foot (especially since he'll be costing 12m+ for the long term).

i like this, it really puts the tea on a path to success, build a new core of winning minded individuals instead of relying on washed veterans to rub off winningness to the young guys.

Laine trade
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ConnorMcHellebucyk</b></div><div>enjoy signing Hischier and Hall</div></div>
We would have about 20 million dollars to work with in the offseason if we don't re-sign Greene, Simmonds, or Vatanen. It would be hard to sign Palmieri and Hughes and we wouldn't have much defensive depth though so it certainly puts us in cap trouble in the next few years.

Some thoughts
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>luketd</b></div><div>Provy wont sign for that little, I think TK will get a mil more than that.
I dont see why we would want to get Milano when Lindblom can easily be a middle 6 forward. If anything JVR would probably be traded to recoup a 1st that we lost in Offersheeting Point. Laughton would be the 3 RW if anything, and then Raffl would be the 4 RW. Wouldnt make sense for Chicago to trade away a 2020 1st for a 2021 1st with only adding a 2021 3rd
We dont really need point .We have 4 centers that fill there Roles. Coots is a top 20 Centerman, and a top 3 two way center. Hayes is a great 2C, and Patrick with a more solid role is a great 3C that will continue to develop. Ontop of that we have Frost and Rubstov that are Centerman(Can switch to winger too) in our pipeline.</div></div>
Yeah except Couturier is obviously on a massive decline after two rather dissapointing seasons.
Patrick is a bust and we should have taken Pettersson
Hayes is super overpaid and will probably just coast through the season with his fat new contract.
Center is our biggest problem and Point helps immensely, I'm surprised there are still fake Flyers fans out here that don't realise this.
