I know mayfield is on a sweet deal and all thats great but he's not a 4th defenseman I'm sorry. He's a solid 5-6 guy, stop overvaluing him please. Secondly Bracco is unproven in the NHL but has more upside to him than Hyman does or Mayfield. Bracco needs one more year in the AHL to work on his 300foot game and become reliable defensively. If I were the leafs I would hold onto him for one more year to either insert him in the lineup or trade him at his best possible value. I think the islanders should stay away from getting Ristolainen. Great numbers (points wise) but his advanced stats and metrics suggest he is more of stat patter and not a true num 1 or 2 defenseman. If you want to check out his advanced stats check out Hockey-referrence.com. I think it would be better to hold onto leddy for a better trade or keep him and see how things play out next season. I don't think islanders should trade for Hyman because what the islanders need is more goals, Hyman managed to pot 20 last year but if you paid attention you would know around 3-4 of them were empty netters and when you play with Marner and Tavares your stats will always make a jump. No disrespect to Hyman cuz I love what he brings to the leafs but I think the islanders should search out more natural goal scorers, weather that be through trade or free agency.

I like the one year deal for Boyle no risk really, I don't think Michael Dal Colle will make 1 million this year, he's a fourth liner that doesn't score and will probably make anywhere from 700k to 925k but I just can't justify a million dollar deal after 3 goal season. Trevor Moore is playing on a deal worth 775k and Moore seems to have more upside than dal Colle respectively. But both are relatively the same players in worth/value.

Also I could see beauvillier taking a one year gamble on himself to try and have a better season and make more money next year on a longer deal much like Andreas Johnsson who bet on himself.
