Yes to Zegras
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ricochetii</b></div><div>That's a valid stance. I'm in favor of patience as well. The patience of the fanbase may not be on par with our own however.
IF we were to attempt to move faster, this is one move which might make sense.
Separating Caufield and Suzuki is a way to add another facet to our attack. With Slafkovsky and Suzuki developing some chemistry and Slaf gaining confidence to shoot more, another playermaker to feed Caufield will give us multiple offensive threats in the top 6. One of those lines is going to benefit from better matchups on any given night.
Fact is that this is a strong defense draft and that's the last thing we need. There's a good chance the forwards worth drafting in the top 10 are gone before our selection, in which case we would be reaching instead of taking the BPA. Now this wouldn't happen before the draft order is determined anyway, so we could decide to hold the pick still. Using it to acquire Zegras might not work in a different year, but I think it does this particular season if we are drafting outside the top 5.
I'm not even personally entirely sold on Zegras and would be okay with a different target.
I'm merely suggesting that the situation at this time makes a move for a forward a logical next step.</div></div>

Non! Nous devons repêcher et développer nos joueurs. On manque surtout de bons vétérans pour entourer nos jeunes.

Also a bit of a robot, and doesn't, imo, fit the profile of people Armstrong has targeted and is obviously a guy he put on the block just a couple of years ago.</div></div>

We will see at the trade deadline that he isn't.
That being said, I don't see either Arizona and Montreal doing this.
I believe they would both decline.
Again, that being said, I do think that it's not a bad trade as far as value. Good job.
Of course, you're going to get boooooed by either side (always the case)</div></div>

He was previously there and I want to know if they think he could fit their team cuz for us we are looking to add size (like Bjustad) I'm not totally against retaining Dvorak's salary, but if we can clear all his cap in a trade that would be better for us.

Not to be a debbie downer but Dorion and DJ Smith are soooooo incompetent that a lot of teams have been catching up, even Montreal who started their rebuild just 2 years ago (Ottawa 6 years ago). Ottawa is still far ahead but the gap has closed immensily in a short period of time.
It's a shame because we clearly had the best future in the NHL after that legendary 2020 draft... Dorion has done nothing but sabotage his own team ever since</div></div>
Next summer you guys are going to be a better team. Don't let it down you have a great future ahead but yeah a betta coaching staff might help.

There is a Tennessean article as well but it is paywalled. He has repeatedly and consistently said nashville needs a gamechanging center but sure RHD. Just because Montreal media wants to quell the idiotic uproar over picking Reinbacher by saying "Nashville a team known for developing dmen was willing to give up a ton for this dman" doesnt make it true.</div></div>
So number 5 to take who Dvorski?
