A few things:
Flyers aren't trading Laughton for 2025-2026 picks.
Tippett will command 5M at least imo after this season.
I don't see us trading Zamula when we can pawn off Staal, Walker, Seeler.
I prefer not to sign those UFAs.

The Flyers recently said they are committed to keeping Sanheim, so they are probably not asking him to waive his NTC.

Return does not reflect that lol.

A major injury risk soon to be 31 year old making almost 8 million for 7 years is a negative value asset for atleast the next 2 years regardless of production

Habs are not contending, they won't trade young players and picks for older players. Especially one pretty injury proned. Not an interesting contract either. Just not a fit with Habs, timeline or anything.

(Norlinder has had a nice progression and I would much rather see him continue on that road rather than trading him for something we have no need for)

Coots and Sanny aren't waiving. Both have made it clear they want to stay in Philly.

Aside from Couturier having to waive to be moved I highly don't think the Habs would be interested. Good player but the risk is simply too high. Philly will have to keep him barring massive retention and some cap going back. Just makes more sense to keep him.

If PLD didn't fit MTL's timeline, Couturier's contract is strait up a bad fit.

Wait what? PLD fit the timeline. He didn't fit the cost to acquire. If he ended up costing Dvorak, Barron and a 1st round 2025 like we thought, the deal would have been done already. He would have cost Dach+ or something comparable to what LAK paid. Habs weren't willing to do that. Its that simple and I think we are all ok with that seeing what Dach is turning into now. wink
