None of these are happening. All just wishful thinking. There's not a chance in the world that Fast and Kreider get traded then sign in the offseason.

Yeah, depends on how the market changes. If there's a bidding war, I could see a better prospect or another piece being added. Perhaps add Reinke to this deal or maybe just make it Perunovich + Blais + pick. I honestly kinda lowballed on the Kreider return cuz that's how I see him a rental being valued.

100%, Blais vs Kuhlman isn't a huge difference but he's younger, a little more experienced and he plays a style that I personally think David Quinn would really love.
Zboril is definitely better than Toropchenko, but I like how he's a pretty versatile forward. Can play left or right wing and the Rangers are gonna be especially weak on the left side. He's had some great stints in the AHL, but so has Zboril. Unfortunately, the left side is somewhat crowded from a prospect perspective on the Rangers. To be honest, I think either deal is enough to get it done, the difference in the two is fairly minimal but enough so that I still prefer STL.

I think that's worse. Zboril doesn't fit all that well considering the prospects the Rangers have. I'd take Blais over Kuhlman 9 times outta 10. The 2nd is interchangeable.

You can probably get a good haul from a team like Minnesota. 6th worst SV% in the league playing behind a Very Very good Defense. No real great goaltending prospects in the pool. Would be an almost certain playoff team with Georgiev.
I could see something structured around their 1st or a 2nd + Khovanov.</div></div>
I really doubt that DET becomes the eventual winner in the Georgiev sweepstakes but I thought this was an interesting trade for both sides and it works well. Khovanov is great but I'd bet MIN wants to keep him so they have some Russians in the room for Kaprizov. They're having enough trouble convincing him to come over as it is. Plus, that's the same problem as DET. The Rangers are looking for a player that they can insert into the lineup immediately. Khovanov does not fit that bill.
Jordan Greenway is a guy I could see the Rangers targeting in a deal with the Wild. Similar structured deal, high-ish pick with Greenway.

You might want and even believe that this is meeting the price of a solid goalie to reset your franchise with, but not nearly at such a low return. While your 2nd round pick will be assuredly high (at this rate, 32nd overall), the player doesn't meet the team's needs in return.
Trying to pass one dollar off as a $50, still means you're $49 short. Let's not kid ourselves: you're asking the Rangers in your proposal to take "some" in a trade, when "more" is the right value.</div></div>
What makes this response especially hilarious is that I am a Rangers fan.

There are a few possible options from Detroit : Jonatan Berggren and Robert Mastrosimone.
Hirose just doesn't have the ceiling to be considered here. Georgiev's value is around a late 1st.</div></div>
I considered them but the Rangers have made it pretty clear that they're looking for a roster player in the deal. If it were one of those two, getting a 2nd or 3rd round pick becomes much less likely.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>YoucancallmeHockeyman</b></div><div>Bruh, alongside the fact that your reasoning is pourous, as a team that is full of passers, adding one more sounds like the exact thing they need..right?
Please, do not sell me on the notion that this is a good idea. His .54 even strength points/60 can be an asset; but, his points are a result of 76% primary assists. So, on a team where Panarin, Buchnevich, Strome, Fast, Howden and all but one of the defensemen (Staal) generate their points on primary assists, you want to add one more passer, and utilize a great asset in Georgiev on such a little deal?
Yeah..no.</div></div>
I'm sorry I don't understand your reasoning one bit. It's insatiably nitpicky. What do you want for Georgiev? An established 30-goal scorer? This is his value, like it or not. Young roster player and decent pick.
Also, using primary assists as a negative is insane reasoning. I don't see how Howden is related, he has one 5v5 primary assist this year. Fast isn't in the top 5 amongst forwards in 5v5 primary assists. Your reasoning is flawed by a country mile. Let's not forget that Fast could be gone in the offseason/trade deadline, and Kreider (who's fourth in 5v5 primary assists) could be gone too. That's a lot of offense on the wing that needs to be filled. I don't see why Hirose can't be that guy.
He's got decent possession stats and his isolated offensive impact is strong for a guy with that experience. I think you're wildly overlooking his value for a rebuild and overvaluing Georgiev as a trade piece. Recent trades for goalies of his age/stats show that this is what the return should look like.

Why the hell would they do this deal? Hirose can be had for Dallas' 3rd or the Rangers' 4th round pick. Wasting a bullet like Georgiev on a relatively meager deal is fruitless.</div></div>
Bruh if Hirose could be had for that, you think someone wouldn't have done that trade already? He's a 23-year-old who's barely scratched the surface of his potential. Would be a full roster player once the Rangers trade some assets. They have zero LW depth. Gets them a decent pick too.
This is a home run for both sides. It also is very similar to trades in the past that have been made for goalies of Georgiev's caliber.

Major signing jump starting the rebuild to be competitive in 2018-19
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Spanky227</b></div><div>Kovy is a right handed shot that can play RW if needed. Spooner is a natural center that was moved to the wing. Whichever of Necas or Andersson is more ready for the center position I would put there. Andersson and Chytil have chemistry and so do Necas and Chytil.
Carolina is a borderline playoff team.. most likely won't be a top 10 pick and will fall somewhere 12-17. Necas was a number 12 pick. Zucc's fair value is definitely a 1st rounder in that range, necas for hayes and vesey is a fair trade (if not a slight overpayment). That's what i was thinking with JT, unlikely yes but there is still a chance. If/When rangers sign Kovy all that they are really missing is that elite #1 center, zib is more of a 1b center right now.
yes we jettisoned McD and Miller to tampa, but miller=namestnikov essentially. Skjei has been better than McDonagh all year, and if we can get Dahlin, NYR will be in serious contention for JT since they can offer him a 12m contract. they still have the King in net, Gregoriev looked really good in his two starts despite the losses. We have heir apparent sheshtyorkin as well as forward/defensive prospects that are very exciting (andersson, chytil, necas [from trade], day, dahlin [if we win lottery], hajek, howden, as well as 11 picks over the first three rounds in the next two years[at least 4 first rounders if not 5]) . If he signs with the rangers, they are immediate playoff contenders and once tampa runs into it's cap issues in two years (with development) we will be true contenders for the cup.</div></div>
Your analysis really just hinders on the Rangers getting Dahlin. Even if the Rangers get Dahlin, San Jose will pay Tavares boat loads more, and gives a better chance at the cup. Why would Tavares go from being surrounded by young talent and defensive liabilities in NYI, to go to supposedly more young talent and defensive liabilities? You have to at least somewhat understand that Tavares (if he even leaves NYI) WON’T sign with another team that’s rebuilding. Like, just use your common sense. I don’t even know how to phrase it better than that. San Jose will offer him the same deal, if not more, and they’ll IMMEDIATELY be stanely cup favorites. Not favorites in 2 or 3 years when Tampa hits contract issues.

Meh, few things I have an issue with. Spooner is a winger, not center, so flip Howden and him. Hurricanes won’t trade for Zuc and even then thats an overpayment by the Rangers. The whole reason why Miller was traded was to keep Hayes. Kovy is a left wing. Having Andersson on the right side would be brutal for his development. Definitely a center. And signing JT would be crazy but not in a million years. Even McDonagh rejected a trade to NYI today. Don’t know why JT would travel across the Hudson.

Remember he is a UFA and can take the highest offer, and this is the year u want to be a UFA as the cap is expected to go up as much as 7mil. All those teams that were interested in him at the deadline can now get him with a half off tag and not have to give up anything in return...its happening.</div></div>
Yeah but if he’s coming back to the Rangers, they just won’t pay him that. Nor will the Rangers give Kovy that either unless they’re really trying to compete which I think is the wrong move. Nash would definitely take a hometown discount. He loves NY and wants to stay here. Cashing on the highest contract probably doesn’t matter to him. Similar to Shattenkirk and his situation. He wants to play for NY and if they give him 4 mil a year, then that’s basically guaranteeing a Zuc trade in order to sign Buchnevich to a long contract.
