McDonagh is pretty much a cap dump at this point in his career. you will have to add pick/prospects to move.</div></div>
gonna come back to this when he is moved for positive value

Would love to see Ryfors make the team out of camp but its gonna be tough, we can only keep 2 of Katchouk, ABB, Raddysh once Foote comes back from injury. and all 3 require waivers and they arent gonna slip through. JBB has some tough decisions to make in the coming weeks. With Ryfors id let him work on his game in the AHL and let him get used to the NA ice for a few months

Realistic Offseason
I like the team but I think this scenario won’t work out. Palat doesn’t fetch a 1st rounder especially in a strong 2022 class for a fringe team like Nashville. Apparently Seattle is asking an extremely high price for Johnson, so I could see a scenario where he doesn’t go to Seattle.

Tampa Offseason v1
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TM11</b></div><div>The issue with alot of Tampa players is their no move clause which is why I doubt they can trade a guy like palat. because although its modified if you say no to all the possible teams and put teams like Toronto, Washington, Florida Pittsburgh and other teams against the caps/ Rivals they wont trade you and that's why Ill say i cant see Palat, Killorn or anyone outside of Johnson waiving it</div></div>
Palat has to give a 20 team trade list. I would think with Edmonton actually being a respectable team (still feels weird saying that as an OIlers fan) that we for once may not be on a 12 team NTC... unless he's one of those guys that uses 7 spots on Canada.

CAP HELL

Not 30+ year olds making 4.5 million over the next 3 years. We're still dealing with the fallout of Lucic. The Lightning would have to take a contract back, like Koskinen, to make the deal go thru and the Lightning can't afford that.

What I would do

Any scenario that "fixes" Tampas cap problems you will get 4000 comments stating problems just like what you just said. I have yet to see one solution to fix Tampa, where a bunch of people didn't say "well that doesn't work" or "why would that person waive". Or I keep the young guys and trade the guys with NTC's. Then when I trade them I get the above comment.
Viscous circle. End of rant haha.

What would Tampa look like with stamkos
I wouldn't make such rash changes to a working lineup if I were Cooper.
I'd probably roll them like this:
Palat-Point-Kucherov (no point changing something that just works)
Killorn-Stamkos-Johnson (the experienced line that should also be offensively productive)
Goodrow-Coleman-Gourde (the pest line, one of the best TB has had thus far)
Maroon-Cirelli-Paquette (the defensive/gritty line)
Hedman-Bogosian
McDonagh-Cernak
Sergachev-Shattenkirk
Vasy-McElhinney

I read an article where this injury recovery period depends upon the person. A couple of hockey players said it took a year to feel right. Crosby was back in 8 weeks. We miss stammer especially on the PP.

It'd be interesting to see if he does. If he does, then that'd be killer for the Bolts; heaps of sacrifices for the team. Wish there were more of that from other teams.

84 mil Cap
The Killorn trade has Tampa giving up way too much. Killorn is likely to be moved and could easily get a 1st by himself. Cernak is overpaid, he'll be closer to 2 and Sergachev around 4.5. Cirelli will come in around 4 so I could see 4.25. All these people thinking these guys are taking offer sheets, it's not going to happen as they like where they are and know how things are run in Tampa in this regard. The trades were far from yikes, as both guys had term and for a team with limited cap, getting middle 6 players with their cap hits is vital to keeping the team a top contender moving ahead. They were overpays but none of those 3 picks/players were helping Tampa for a minimum of 3 years and this team is in win a win now mentality.

Salary cap reports the bolts have about ten million. Because it is prorated and they have saved salary by keeping a roster of 22 all year.
