No offense but it sounds like you aren't being rational either. The kid hasn't gotten a legit chance yet, 17 total NHL games isn't enough to show what he can do. I'm not saying he's going to light the world on fire. Like I said he's more of a skilled player, skilled players need to play in the top 6.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Boltsbeathabs</b></div><div>Why does everyone on this site think TB should put a guy they waived who 11 days later was rewaived by Seattle on the Top line insane</div></div>
Because he played well with Point and Palat last season and as a line they played well together overall. ABB's skillset is more geared towards a top 6 role with his playmaking ability.

It sucks but we have to trade the one who performs the worst out of ABB/Katchouk/Raddysh. Otherwise one of them is getting claimed off waivers for nothing.

JBB has some tough decisions to make in the coming weeks. With Ryfors id let him work on his game in the AHL and let him get used to the NA ice for a few months</div></div>
I think he's one of the signings JBB made as "insurance" in case we lose or have to trade one of ABB/Katchouk/Raddysh. He isn't too far off from seeing NHL time but I agree with letting him get used to the NA ice in the AHL. It will be interesting to see how it plays out once Foote comes off LTIR.

His contract is only for 2 more years and I still think he has great value for his cap hit. But fair enough, keep getting swept by not surrounding McDavid & Drai with leadership and experience.

If it were up to me, I would protect Cernak over McDonagh. This is just what I think the management is gonna do. I hope I'm wrong. I think they see Savard as a replacement for Cernak if they lose him.

He could probably slot in at 3C this year, he is solid in the dot and a solid penalty killer/grinder. Only has 1 more year on his deal and is relatively young still. Doesn't have to be Detroit, I mainly picked them due to familiarity with Yzerman.

Everyone saying this always forgets that the players do not have to sign those offer sheets. No one is leaving Tampa for a mediocre or fringe playoff team. Brayden Point turned down $8.5+ mil from Montreal just last season, as an example.

You don’t have to have 23 players on your NHL roster. The Leafs basically did the same thing this season that is shown here so it is possible.

THIS. Everyone thinks just because a team can offer-sheet Tampa's players automatically means they will sign it. If that were the case, Brayden Point would be making 8.5 mil playing for the Canadiens, as he declined a similar offer-sheet that Aho signed. The point is, Tampa's players love playing there and will take a discount to stay and win. Its been that way for the past 5-6 years.

Something tells me that as well, but I'm hopeful he can maybe make it back after this round (IF we advance). It's just crazy how they hadn't played a game from March-Aug and he still somehow ends up not ready to play. The guy can't catch a break.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Glorieux</b></div><div>You might be right. But that'd be some discount. We're talking 50% off. At least Point only signed a 3 year deal. Sergachev would be turning down like 5-7 years (whichever he prefers) and a heck of a lot more money.</div></div>
I could realistically see him taking a 2 or 3 year deal at 4.5-5 mil per, the Lightning should be out of cap trouble by then.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Glorieux</b></div><div>If I were the Bolts I'd rather keep Sergachev than Cirelli also. Problem is that they can't afford to keep him. Check out my other post and you'll see why. The math just doesn't work unless Sergachev takes a massive hometown discount (even more of a discount than Point did).</div></div>
And I think he will take a hometown discount just like every player here has before. He realizes his best chance to win is here, as compared to other teams that could maybe afford him. Just look at last offseason, Point rejected an offer-sheet from Montreal in order to stay with Tampa. I think Sergy will do the same.

I'd rather keep Sergachev than Cirelli. We are already loaded with forwards who can play center, with more coming in the pipeline. Sergy is a future elite D-man that you need to keep at all costs.
