I hope so, but I have a feeling they might not expose him because he's so important on defense and as a leader

If it were up to me, I would protect Cernak over McDonagh. This is just what I think the management is gonna do. I hope I'm wrong. I think they see Savard as a replacement for Cernak if they lose him.

Does EDM not need/want wingers with tons of playoff experience that can kill penalties and play on the powerplay?

Not 30+ year olds making 4.5 million over the next 3 years. We're still dealing with the fallout of Lucic. The Lightning would have to take a contract back, like Koskinen, to make the deal go thru and the Lightning can't afford that.

His contract is only for 2 more years and I still think he has great value for his cap hit. But fair enough, keep getting swept by not surrounding McDavid & Drai with leadership and experience.

Edmonton can’t take the entire contract on with no money going the other way... would you take Turris on as part of the deal? He can be buried in the minors, so his cap hit is only 550K.

They have to protect McDonagh he has a no trade clause
