This deal is similar to McAvoy's, for a bridge deal from a player who wants to stay in Tampa and compete this is more than reasonable.

They are likely going to hit that level of expectation, but they arent going to be able to get away with playing the market again when they have to pay up and Kuch, Stamkos, Hedman, McDonough, Vasy, and Johnson (assuming he doesnt get cap dumped) are still on the books at that time

what do you mean, just bc they got this deal done...the cap is still going to get them with having to sign both Cirelli and Cernak still. now being over the cap, they wont be able to sign either of them until they move money out since they will be above the max allowable of 10% over the cap during the offseason.

a) QO = AAV of final year of contract (7.2M)
b) QO = 120% of contract AAV (5.75M)

So it should be 5.76M
