Can we finally admit that Seattle and Francis might be clueless. Their fwd situation since the XD has been atrocious.

Why does everyone on this site think TB should put a guy they waived who 11 days later was rewaived by Seattle on the Top line insane

Look every expansion team needs an absolutely head scratching roster decision to start their inaugural season. Remember the saga of Vegas and Shipachyov? They bring him in with all this hype, he scores a goal In his first game, and then is cast aside like a leper.

You do realize that this is all part of Francis' plan, right? Francis is going for the exact opposite of what Vegas did in their expansion year. Vegas was win now when they came into the league. The Kraken are not in win now mode right now and they are not going to be in win now mode for several years. Francis is working on building not just a playoff team, but a dynasty team. People wonder why Francis didn't take certain guys in the expansion draft. The reasoning behind some of those moves was to ensure the cap space for any future moves while weaponizing it. I'm sure that there is a myriad of other reasons to the other selections made in the expansion draft, but none of us on here are likely to know them. You clearly don't know how Francis thinks things. He doesn't see things NOW. He sees things in the FUTURE. Just like his playing days, he is still 5 steps ahead of everybody. Francis is sacrificing a couple years at the start of this franchise to ensure a long stretch in the postseason, before ultimately going into a rebuild. And if the Kraken make the playoffs this year, it will be a happy bonus to Francis.

Was part of the plan avoiding picking guys that could be flipped for assets, bc if the plan was to build something down the line he did an awful Job collected assets when he had a golden opportunity to, I guess the plan was to fill around of 80% bottom 6 fwds and hope for the best

Because he played well with Point and Palat last season and as a line they played well together overall. ABB's skillset is more geared towards a top 6 role with his playmaking ability.

Clearly he wasn't good enough to crack Seattle's top 6,but yeah put him on TB'S? That really makes sense to you?

No offense but it sounds like you aren't being rational either. The kid hasn't gotten a legit chance yet, 17 total NHL games isn't enough to show what he can do. I'm not saying he's going to light the world on fire. Like I said he's more of a skilled player, skilled players need to play in the top 6.

He couldn't crack Seattle's Top 6 that doesn't make you go hmmm maybe he isn't as good as I think 2 teams were willing to let him go for nothing in 12 days I seem to be the only rational one on this topic . 24 teams passed on him the 2nd time around what do all these player development, coaching staffs, and team management know you and I don't

TB didn't get first take back it went in reverse points order from the end of last year meaning only VGK, Colorado, Toronto, Florida and Carolina didn't get the opportunity to claim him. If he's as good as everyone here seems to think not one of those teams could use a top 6 guy on that contract? Think logically.

I hope he becomes the next Marty St.Louis ,but it's a lot more likely he's meh at best. 24 teams didn't pass on a guy making $8,333 above minimum for the next 3 years if they remotely think he's a top 6 guy.
