18-19 Philadelphia Flyers
Cap hit may be a couple hundred k high for Hagg but yeah I think most fans would be satisfied with this lineup. Alas we all know Lehtera is at least beginning the year in the lineup and as much as I want to see a Sanheim Gudas pairing I don't want to see Ghost and Provy split up. They were a legit first pair last year and according to their underlying numbers they were one of the best pairings in the entire league.

Screwin' Around - Trades w/ MIN, OTT
Sadly there's no way outside of injury that MacDonald comes out of the lineup. The coaching staff, for whatever reason, just values him too much. The Dumba deal is probably a little too rich for me. I think you could get away with Gudas Simmonds and a 2nd that becomes a 1st if he re-signs with the Wild.
I love Stone, probably the most underrated winger in the league right now. Posts great underlying numbers to go along with his solid point production. He's basically a right wing version of Couturier but he never gets brought up for the Selke because he isn't a center. Kinda how Hossa always got passed over when he was in his prime. I just have a feeling Sanheim is gonna be something special so I'm reluctant to include him any trade unless it's just too good of an offer to pass up. With Ottawa's front office being so poorly run who knows, you could probably replace Sanheim with someone like Friedman or Morin and they might take it if you change out the 3rd for a 2nd or something along those lines.

Too much for a 35 soon to be 36 yr old goalie w/ little playoff success aside from the 2016 cup run.

Voynov
I don't think Viola would ever give hockey ops permission to try and bring Voynov in. Could be a PR disaster. And I think at this point any team would have to work out a type of trade to obtain his rights prior to signing him.

Carter Hart
I think he's going to force Hextall's hand to try and move Neuvirth via a trade. Kid is so mature for his age and has all the tools to compete for a job at the NHL level now.
When do you guys think we'll see Hart start his first NHL game?

This is better right???
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Bdinella</b></div><div>I do like the trade for Nyquist however he is a FA after this year and former 1st round pick, a high 3rd round pick and a service RH D man is way too much</div></div>
I was figuring while Gudas is a serviceable defenseman it's kind of a dump to get rid of his contract when we'll need money for Konecny and Provorov next summer. I'm also very low on Rubstov, he's projecting to maybe be a bottom six type of forward at this point. Maybe I could've added that Detroit only gets that 3rd round pick if we sign Nyquist to an extension. I have a feeling Hextall is going to be very quiet this summer with the hopes Doughty tests free agency next summer.

Bozak
I like it. Don't think Frost will be ready for top 6 mins in the NHL next season. He showed pretty obvious signs of fatigue throughout the CHL playoffs this year. We also get back our 2019 3rd from Detroit since we aren't signing Mrazek. The Roussel contract could turn into Dale Weise 2.0 so that scares me a little. If they can get Bozak for sub $5 I'm all in on that. 2 years is even better because at that point Frost should be primed for top 9 minutes at that level.

You know Hanifin's team wanted something in the 6 year $5 AAV range right? Can't seem them coming that far down from that number. $4 AAV is the minimum I could see him getting.

Hextall's plan *no high end signings
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BeterChiarelli</b></div><div>Strictly because of how weak the FA market is this season, Bozak and CDH are probably making at least $1M more than what you've offered. Not necessarily a problem considering how this setup for the Flyers has literally a Brink's Truck of cap space.
Do you reckon there's a market for Philly to acquire a bonafide goaltender for this season and next? Hart/Lyon most likely aren't NHL-starter calibre for a few years still and that's effectively the only piece this team is lacking moving forward. Like if Columbus stinks beyond belief this year, is acquiring Bobrovsky for prospects on the Flyers' radar?</div></div>
I figured coming off shoulder surgery and only playing in 33 games last year de Haan may get a slight raise but I can't imagine Bozak making more than his previous contract when he was in the prime of his career. Goalie is the big "what if" scenario. If the team checks in on Neuvirth this summer and they go back to Hextall and say look this guy is still going to be injured more often than not next year we need to get another goalie I think they first consider Lyon. With Elliott coming off a year where he had significant core surgery I wouldn't be surprised if they look to bring in someone like Hutton or Lehner. They won't bring in anyone long term that would impeded Hart's ability to move up the depth chart.

I'm not doing Steve Y any favors. That Killorn contract is turning into an albatross and we need a 3C that'll produce offensively. I like Laughton a lot I just think his style of play suits a 4C much better.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>MG1986</b></div><div>I am a not a Flyers fan, but correct me if I am wrong on this depth chart assessment of RHD, and I am not including any most-recent draft picks. Gostisbehere, Gudas, Sanheim, McDonald, Myers, am I wrong? That is 4 NHL-calibre defensemen ahead of him.</div></div>
When I said RHD I meant right handed not right side. Ghost Gudas and AMac all play the right side but I'm fairly certain Myers can leap both Gudas and AMac over the coming season. Gudas is coming off a "meh" regular season and a disastrous playoff series against the Pens. Myers is next in line to make the jump from the AHL to NHL in the Flyers roster. With Hextall potentially looking to move Gudas's $3.5 AAV and his public stmt's confirming the team needs a quality RHD I just don't see them moving Myers until they see what he can/can't do at the NHL level.

I wouldn't include Myers in that deal. Mgmt is really high on him. He's the best RHD on the org depth chart.

Yeah I think that makes sense but I could only see Edmonton willingly make a similar trade if they found a buyer for Lucic's contract.

Idk about that 3rd line. I love Vorobyev but I think he'd better utilized in a 4C role..at least to start the season. As much as I want Hextall to sign de Haan that means you'd have Hagg and Sanheim battling for the last spot on defense. Because we all know the HC refuses to punish veteran players IE AMac
