Eichel trades again
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>kedogs00</b></div><div>I am leaning towards that as well. However, KA knows this could be his job on the line. There is no need to move him if the right deal does not present itself. Eichel has 5 more yrs in BUF. If he wants to act like a baby and complain, so be it. I'd rather have a whiny super star then a weak return.</div></div>
I've gotta think that there isn't an Eichel deal in the universe that doesn't need to be signed off on by the Pegula's before it happens. The fact that they refuse to hire a director of hockey ops to oversee the team, and instead continue to meddle with it doesn't bode well for anyone involved. I'm sure KA is a fine GM, but I feel like he's been given an impossible task.
I don't even know that I'm prepared to call Eichel a "whiny superstar" yet. The organization has been badly mismanaged since long before he got there, and I definitely don't blame him for trying to do what's best for his own health. I feel like there's a lot more going on behind the scenes down there than we have any clue about.

Probably higher than his draft position (53rd). Late 1st to early 2nd is where I have him. I'd like to have him in the AHL another year and bring him up for injury replacement.
I think a better RD target for BUF would be Menell. A little older, has a more developed game, and has earned everything.

As much as I would hate to see Kakko or Lundkvist go. Rangers would pull the trigger on this.

Yeah Buffalo has all the leverage. Is Jack Eichel going to sit out the next 5 years and miss out on 50M dollars? Not a chance.

MIN makes the most sense. Good young players and the timeline makes the most sense where they’ll be willing to give up assets.
Problem is the Sabres passed on Marco Rossi last year, they must see issues there. That plus losing a whole year of dev is an issue. Erickson Ek has to be the guy to target.

Eichel Sergachev and Hyman
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>kedogs00</b></div><div>I think if Turcotte is in the trade and not Byfield, then a solid wing prospect/player needs to come along. Kupari, Arthur, ****emo, Kempe. I still like the idea of Turcotte, Kempe, Roy/Walker, and a first, preferably this yr if None of Kupari, Arthur, or ****emo are included.</div></div>
Turcotte, Kempe, Walker, and 2021 - 1st (not a lottery pick) is gross to accept but it's fair for both teams.
For the Kings: Kempe's points are more than offset by the acquisition of Eichel, Walker can/will be eventually be replaced with Faber, and most importantly the Kings have: Kopitar-Eichel-Byfield-Vilardi up the middle. The team might not be able to obtain a high priced defenseman but the pros beat out the cons.
The Sabres: Obtain a #1 center prospect who is more team-oriented (Jonathan Toews like player), $10M cap space, a top-10 pick in the 2021 draft, and a budget 20+ goal scorer who will be RFA in Kempe.
I would not fault Blake for this trade.

Byfield, Kaliyev and a 1st should be the trade for Eichel. It is not often players of his caliber are moved.

It was also mentioned that he <strong>may not be asking for the #1 prospect from a team</strong>, but will be looking for the 2nd and 3rd ranked ones. Ex: Kings 1.) Byfield, 2.) Turcotte, 3.) Arthur K..... Turcotte and Arthur. Don't get me wrong, I'd LOVE to obtain Byfield &Turoctte. But that's very unrealistic.</div></div>
Not asking for their best prospect would be incredibly dumb, I highly doubt the validity of that. 24 year old Franchise Centre - Top ten NHL player. It will cost a team to ante up.

If I'm LA I'm refusing any Eichel deal that includes Byfield. He's got massive upside, and Eichel's value is a little more damaged than it was a year ago. I think Turcotte, Kempe and a 1st is a good start but I would include ****emo and Björnfot

No player is available this summer that is better than Eichel. It should hurt a little. Rangers fans have to get real and stop making every player untouchable.

as a Hawks fan, I'd make that trade.
Reinhart is proven and still only 25. With a team he could be a 70+ point player.
Strome sucks, Reichel is unproven and a pick is a gamble.
Reinhart would look good on the 2nd line with Toews and Kubi while Kane DeBrincat and Dach as the first line.
