What happened to Turris
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>JayTea</b></div><div>So do you think he'd be a good player for a different team? I know the Preds don't want to have $6m sitting in the press box, but they also don't want to sell low on a guy they just gave up assets for. Plenty of teams could use a center if he can bounce back to being a 50 point player for another few years. What do you think the Preds would accept for him?</div></div>
I think he could be a really good player for alot of teams including the Preds. If (knocks on wood) something happened to one of our guys plugging in Turris would be a very manageable situation. If as has been speculated there was a personal issue I think he would be traded for a bag of pucks or waived if no offers. If its a lineup decision he wont be traded till after the season unless a really good offer comes along. Trade value is a fickle beast. Preds dont have any cap concerns so unless there is drama involved no need to rush.
This is a team spot that requires chemistry you cant move everyone to lesser roles to make room for a player that wont make the lines/team better than if left alone, regardless of their salary. If Carr doesn't blow the staff away I would expect to see Trenin given a longer look before moving Duchene to wing.

What happened to Turris
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>herzausstein</b></div><div>I think there's something going on between him and Lavi. Turris has played well this year but Lavi is currently playing 2 AHLers and letting Turris ride in the pressbox. Something going on beyond what we see on the ice.</div></div>
My friend you shouldn't drink the OTF kool-aid. The conspiracy theory drivel over there makes it near impossible to read. The 2 "AHLers" play a different position and offer totally opposite skill-sets. Bottom line for me is that GMDP would not allow Turris to sit in the pressbox if it would hurt the Preds. Regardless of what you think of Lavi that should be enough.
To the original question there isn't a spot for him. The top 3 centers have cemented their spots and Turris doesn't belong on a checking line. Wing experiment failed. Turris has played fine when in the lineup but he doesn't improve any of our current lines when on the ice. Simple.

Tavares fits easily Pt1
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>LoganOllivier</b></div><div>After the playoffs Turris had, he's not getting you a 1st and 2nd. You'll be giving him away as a cap dump, the guy was never a fast skater and he seems to be losing a step. That contract isn't a good one.</div></div>
The picks/prospects are irrelevant. If you see it as a cap dump so be it. I was just showing that Nashville has zero cap issues when it comes to signing Tavares. He isnt filling a hole he is simply upgrading a roster spot. Even tho on his worst day Turris is a very capable 2C and we all know Centers and RHD are like gold

2018-2019/Tavares
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BigBeardBurns</b></div><div>That would be a tough trade to make for Turris because most of the teams that have that space for his new contract arent giving that up for Turris, and the ones that dont are going to need to give Nashville a bad contract in the deal to finish it</div></div>
Nashville paid a 2nd and 2 top nhl ready prospects was just thinking along the same return would be appropriate :)

NSH_COL trade concept
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Nik_SH</b></div><div>And if one of the centers is traumatized, Nashville again has big problems ...
I do not like Bonino's contract, just like Johansen. But if we lose the center, we must acquire it. Most important role in NHL, ofc after goaltender.</div></div>
Freddy G will need a roster spot next year and should fill in quite nice if someone goes down.

NSH_COL trade concept
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Nik_SH</b></div><div>This is a deal for a better future. NSH can not re-sign Ellis(with 6,5m+ contract and Fialla 5,5m+).
NSH have Fabro as potentional T1 RD. But he need more practice in NHL.
I would also like to keep this team for always. But this is unreal.</div></div>
Trade Bonino (insert Calle 3L C) dont resign Hartnell and you should have enough to extend Ellis and Fiala easily. That is assuming of course that cap goes to around 80m by 2019-2020 and they both agree to the contracts you proposed.
EDIT: Pekkas contract with also fall off by then.

As a Nashville fan I would prefer to keep Ellis, save 3m, and not mess with team chemistry.

If Tolvanen is as ready as everyone seems to think the trade is a bit redundant. Just trade Joey for picks/prospects and hang on to Fabbro
