<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>pharrow</b></div><div>i think you are talking to the wrong person about watching the games. Anyone watching them knows Simon if resigned is getting a league minimum deal.
ZAR is a coach favorite for what he brings on the ice. He can score, he gets dirty, he's a good PK performer. When you watch the games Simon is non existent but you always hear ZAR name being called in on the play. In other words, you notice one and not the other. I'm sure it's really easy to have your Corsi number high when your line mates for half the season are Crosby and Jake. Lets not pretend his play on the 3rd line has ever been impressive, it hasn't. He's another player Crosby carried on his back.</div></div>
Ohhhh I forgot that ZAR didn't have a 1st ballot HOFer and allstar winger on his line all season. That's Geno and Kessel in case you didn't know on account that you don't watch the games. And I love ZAR and think he is just as good as Simon but you acting like they say his name as much as McDavid isn't true. Most of the time when his name is said it is followed with an image of him headed to the locker room because the coaches make him think he has hit everything that moves. P.S. I don't think Simon will get 1.5 but when I do one of these I like to over do the salaries to be safe. He'll probably get 800-900k.

That should add to your prospect pool. If by prospect you actually mean angy mob.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TanSor</b></div><div>MN declines. Our GM has said multiple times that our prospect pool isn't up to par, so trading away picks for an aging player would make 0 sense for us.</div></div>

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>pharrow</b></div><div>why do the penguins want to sign Simon for 1.5 million? Exactly what does he bring to the team that is worth that? Oh yeah nothing. But some how the more talented player who actually shows up on the ice in ZAR you pay less? There is no way that is happening. Simon will most likely be back in the AHL next year.</div></div>
Actually Simon's 5v5 shot attempts% is over 50% which means when he's on the ice the pucks is in the offensive zone. He may not provide the most tangible offense but the same can be said of ZAR, Cullen and Wilson whos 5v5 shot attempt % are below 47 percent. Why don't you try watching the games?

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Pensfan89</b></div><div>3 million for Tyler Ennis? What’s the point of getting rid of JJ’s 3 million contract who is playing well with Schultz to add another unnecessary bum for 3 million lol</div></div>
You must be a bandwagon pens fan because the Schultz-Johnaon pair actually has a high-danger chances % of 38 and shot attempts % of 44. The Schultz-Maatta pair is 50 and 51%. A **** would know that Jack Johnson drags down good defensemen. Why don't you watch the games. Participation medal for you big guy.

I would agree with you but after the post I saw you make about the pittsburgh_6687 team with Tavares I think you lost all credibility with your hockey opinions.

I love Kessel and hate the idea of trading him but his trade valie will never be higher coming off a 90 point season. His playoff didn't bother me at all. His contract would create flexibility to do other things.
