offer sheet mcavoy
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>canucks_Fan_53</b></div><div>it all has to do with how many games were played on their ELC. neither Boeser nor McAvoy played enough games to qualify for offersheets.
and mrrobotcp, just stop....
a) VAN does not have the cap space
b) CBJ will match offer sheets with their plethora of cap space. except this one which VAN will regret instantly
c) how do you expect boeser to sign for 7.5 ( 50 point, 30 goal guy) when you offer ZW 9.5?
d) if anyone of those trades would interest teams don't you think they would have happened already?</div></div>
a) . There is space if you maneuver correctly.
b) CBJ should and will match. This is armchair GM. No one is forcing you to read this.
c) . reference: <a href="https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/15E1qqh3OfHvvhbv_pICfKT7VR1jJEVhWQOyKviWLN54/edit#gid=707766415" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/15E1qqh3OfHvvhbv_pICfKT7VR1jJEVhWQOyKviWLN54/edit#gid=707766415</a>
That's how offer sheets work, you have to over pay, especially for high end talent.
d) . No because the organization has no real need to clear cap space.

Bring in Connor
Definitely picks like the offer sheet (would be nice if they can keep a 1st), maybe Tanev if they retain salary as they lost 2 RHD.
I don't think Boeser would mind Connor making more, but I could see where these guys are coming from.
If they do a trade (which will never happen btw haha), then maybe they can give Boeser and Connor similar deals since I think they're on the same level.

Seems like a lot of people are in favour of the Connor offer sheet haha
Perhaps they can pull off a trade if Winnipeg can't really afford it, but can Benning pull off such a maneuver?

Yea right, might as well go all in since giving up a 1st already; not crazy about the miller deal.

I see, thank you. I would hate to do this to the Jets, but Connor is a pretty good player and the Canucks are kind of desperate to make the playoffs in the next 2 years.
I wanted to keep it under double digits so he won't be the highest player in the upcoming years.

If Marleau went back, he would sign a minimum contract.
They could sign everyone except perhaps EK.

That's it world championships. Niellsen the former Canucks goalie also looked good, not so much next year in the NHL.
He may or may not be, but Holland might want to make big changes such as upgrading the DEF.

They're popular buyouts on this site, so I thought those teams might.

I think so but most TOR fans would think otherwise.
You got a lot of players on the roster with some cap space. I would try to "weaponize" cap space even more to get some picks.

Offer Sheet Aho
The Canucks need defenceman. I personally wouldn't pay other the free agents big dollar and long term. Thus I think the 2 elder Swedes on 2 year contracts can provide some form of "stopgap", wishful thinking perhaps (they seem to never be able to develop defencemen for the last few years). Edler the left, Stralman on the right.
