idk bout that as "they" claim ANA is small market, and sutter is serviceable 3rd line center, people just forget

As for Sutter being serviceable on the 3rd line? Not so much. Good penalty killer, but first, he hasn't sniffed anything close to his career high of 40 points since his sophomore season, and with the kids coming up, it doesn't make sense to give him the spot for two years, use up over $4 mil in cap space, and take away ice time from guys like Terry, Steel and Lundestrom (who they want to develop into C's). They've also already got Henrique and Getzy on the top 2 lines.

Add to all of this that Perry's buyout counts as $6 mil against the cap next year as well, which means they'd just be handcuffing themselves financially, and taking away an opportunity to upgrade the D (which is where they need help).

Gonna have to put jets in a really tough spot for them not to match. I think they match anything up to 10-10.5
