<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TheDime99</b></div><div>Ok that first line would be unbelievable</div></div>
Unbelievable because TOR wouldn't trade Marner, and certainly not for ADA, Buch, & a 1st.
Also, Chytil isn't ready for 2nd line C. This would be a top-heavy lineup, and doesn't solve any of this issues they currently have.

Huge lottery win - no Brainer move at draft
This is a terrible idea. Nils Lundkvist just registered the best ever points total for a teenage defenseman in the Swedish Super-Liga, ahead of scrubs like OEL, Hedman, Klingberg, Dahlin, some guy named Lidstrom, and... Erik Karlsson.
I'll take the guy playing on an EL contract instead of moving assets and absorbing $11.5m in cap hit.

NYR Stanley Cup 2019
I've heard the O'Reilly rumblings, but I don't think there's much there and BUF certainly isn't moving Risto.
Kovy isn't signing for less than $5m, and I dislike the bridge deal for Skjei.

2018-19 NY Rangers Roster
I like the idea of bringing in JT, and Kovy, and I love having Chytil and Zadina together on a third scoring line.
I'm not sure that package is enough for Karlsson. I'm also not sure I like the pairings it creates, but that's just nitpicking and a good problem to have.
The biggest issue with this squad is cap space. There's no backup goaltender, and not enough cap to slide in Georgiev (who would be the least-expensive option). I dislike the idea of bridging Skjei, but you'd have to do it in order to fit JT, Kovy, and EK onto the team.

Young team
Honestly, there's quite a bit that I don't like here.
Starting with the signings:
You have both Vesey ($3.2m wut?) and Namestnikov (should be under $4.0m) being overpaid. Bridging Skjei isn't the worst idea but it's far from the best, and I'd rather see him locked up long term in a team-friendly deal.
I think <a href="http://www.blueshirtsbreakaway.com/2018/06/11/rangers-rfa-contracts-what-to-realistically-expect/" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">this article</a> can give you better insight on what each player is worth.
Second, I'm all for moving Hayes if the deal is right, but I don't think that's the one. I love Derek Ryan and even signed him (to a similar deal) on <a href="https://www.capfriendly.com/forums/thread/146654&post_id=501437">my armchair-gm</a>, but he's a UFA this year so getting his rights means nothing. I'm not willing to flip Hayes for Fleury straight up, and I'm certainly not including another pick in the deal.
Third, there's almost no shot at Howden being the 13th forward. The latest talk is that they're planning on involving him more in the core after his outstanding WHL season and the part he played in helping Canada win the WJC. They'll either leave him down to develop or clear a 3rd line role for him to play if they think he's ready.
Finally, what is that 4th line? Holland and McLeod aren't NHL'ers.

Trading up at the Draft
Pateryn played top 4 minutes with Dallas all season last year, and he's improved dramatically since MTL. I wouldn't give him a Brendan Smith deal, but I think Pateryn could help us out.
Staal isn't a great player in transition, but he's defensively responsible at least. His Corsi is garbo, but his deployment was 63% D-Zone starts last year and he's been on the right side of +/- for 4 consecutive seasons, including +11 last year on a team that had the 8th worst record. I'm not saying he's an all-star or that he's worth that contract, but he's a far better option than Tony DeAngelo!

Few trades
I'm not sure about the deal with CGY, but trading up with MTL is a pretty solid idea that many of us are kicking around.
Zadina + Chytil would give the blueshirts that Czech Connection and a real solid second scoring unit. I like trying to bring in Pateryn too, he reminds me of a younger Girardi.

Disagree on both counts.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Max27</b></div><div>Pateryn is not worth 2250000
He's a 7th defensman</div></div>
Pateryn is a younger, healthier Girardi that plays physical (155 hits) and blocks shots (148 bs). That's exactly what NY needs to shore up their defense.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Max27</b></div><div>DeAngelo is better than Staal, Pateryn, Pionk and Gilmour</div></div>
DeAngelo was an experiment. He's got a bad attitude and work ethic, and is way worse than any of those guys in his own end. Unless he's made massive improvements in the offseason, he's a 7th defender on any team at best.
EDIT:
I'm not the only one that thinks so either. <a href="https://www.capfriendly.com/armchair-gm/team/744605">This guy</a> has Pateryn at $3.0m and wants to ship off DeAngelo.

Trading up at the Draft
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TJSHabs</b></div><div>Spooner doesn't help the Habs </div></div>
For the weakest team down the middle, a serviceable center would help you guys plenty. Especially since most projections have the Habs targeting Kotkaniemi as a reach (because of the need), who'd likely be there at 9 anyway.
I got the idea from <a href="https://www.habseyesontheprize.com/nhl-entry-draft-picks-2018/2018/6/22/17491730/should-the-montreal-canadiens-offer-the-new-york-rangers-the-third-overall-pick-2018-nhl-entry-draft" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">a Habs fan site</a>. I thought they were undervaluing the trade, so I added a second on it.

Hayes+ for Hamilton
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>t4tree</b></div><div>You are giving up a bunch of nothing</div></div>
I don't know about that. CGY is specifically interested in Hayes, and the team doesn't have a 1st or a 2nd this year. It might be a little bit low, but I would think it to be fairly close if CGY is willing to move Ham at all.
