(PIT / BUF) - 2019 4th for Sheary, Hunwick
Pittsburgh clears some much needed cap room, but if Sheary bounces back this season, Buffalo wins.

(PIT / BUF) - 2019 4th for Sheary, Hunwick
Although Sheary scored 18 goals last year, he was invisible for most of the second half of the year and the playoffs. Hunwick never fit in and eventually lost his place to Chad Ruhwedel. Both players could play better in Buffalo, but both are question marks. And the Pens get over $5 mil in cap space to hopefully not sign Jack Johnson

Post Rust Signing
They aren't paying Rust 3 mil a year to play 4th line minutes. If that's all they thought of him, they would have never signed that contract. They are going to play him LW next year. So that skinner trade never gonna happen if you think ZAR is a 3LW.
You might see Hags traded out. go Gunz, Rust, ZAR then worry about the 4th line which can be filled cheaper. Will probably be Simon, RIley and a UFA (Chiasson, Duclair?). Either way the top 3 on the right are set, and Rust is going to get top 3 line minutes somewhere so that's either 2nd or 3rd line LW.
If they keep Hags, it's Gunz, Hags, Rust and your 4th line is Simon RIley, ZAR. Sheary and Hunwick go and that cap space pays for a new RHD. It's not bad but lets be honest a better LW would be nice but they might not be able to find one at a reasonable price with all the cap space out there.
IF they will look for an upgrade at 2LW. There are very slim pickings. Skinner probably isn't it as he has no term and that cap hit. Grabner is more likely but i doubt that too. He will sign for at least 4 mil given his last year. 27 goals and a +13 goes a long way in a new contract. JVR is probably going to be 7 mil a year, Neal isn't coming back neither is Peron. Maybe Vanek is a possibility but considering Neal wants 5+ million for his 25 goals I'm sure Vanek's 24 goals will want close to the same. I'm not sure he fits the system of what they want as a top 3 winger. Maroon maybe but he's a bit on the slow side. Maybe RIley Nash, doubt it though someone will want him to play C and he will make more doing it. They want someone with term on a reasonable contract so my guess is anyone of real talent is out and they go with what they have and fill a 4W.

Id take that skinner trade, Hagelin trade could be better (for the other team) and I would buyout or waive Hunwick- no one wants him

which wouldn't be enough for the pens, I think doesn't make a great match. I think personally they should keep hagelin although they overpaid rust so it makes that alittle tougher to do.

Pens 3Peat
I like the idea of trade for Bozak. However, that's not enough to acquire him. Maybe if Pens give a mid round pick (a 3rd or 4th round), then Maple Leafs could accept your trade.
But my first option would be Adam Henrique from the Devils. He's younger and better player than Bozak, in my opinion. 20 goals and 20 assists in a horrible team like Devils is remarkable. Besides, I think he's a bit better defensively than Bozak.

Pittsburgh Penguins 2017-2018 (Realistic)
I hope you're wrong about this trade. I don't think Melker Karlsson is good enough to be our 3rd line center. I hope we trade for Adam Henrique or Tyler Bozak. But your trade is also reasonable and possible. We'll see...
I think Sheary will receive between 3M and 4M for 2 or 3 years at most.
Dumo's contract is quite there...
