Does a 3 and 6 help TB Winnie more than Colton F*** NO. Killorn just as Palat is gone seasons end so losing Colton now would be boarder line GM malpractice.this is a delusional return.
He's just a 3rd 4th liner is completely garbage analysis of his play. He would have been top 6 on 25 teams this year.
Colton over the last 2 seasons 1.14 goals per 60
Playing with 3/4th liners compared to say
Tavares. 1.12
Kubalik .9
Marchand 1.16
Panerin 1.00
He may be the most underrated player on CF. If you actually look at his scoring to PP TOI it's good as a part time 2nd pp guy he was 5th on the team in op goals narrative debunked.</div></div>
Okay buddy, agree to disagree. Have a nice day.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Dan_the_Man</b></div><div>Over the last 2 seasons he has scored 1.14 goals per 60 playing with mostly 3/4th liners by comparison John Tavares playing 2nd line top PP is at 1.12 and your giving this guy away for nothing? A proven playoff performer that's absurd.</div></div>
I'll admit the return is underwhelming. Yes, we retain his rights but at the same time other GM's know about our draft pick situation and our cap situation. We will take every pick and dollar we can get. We've been known to give up a lot and not get much back over the last couple years.
Colton is a good, young 3/4th liner. I don't feel his potential is any more than that. Yes, he is a good EV strength forward, finishes his chances mostly, and draws penalties all the time. You have to remember he's also playing against other 3/4th line guys, so take his on-paper stats with a grain of salt. He's not effective on the PP and doesn't play on the PK. He's not great defensively either.
Killorn is much more proven in the playoffs than Colton and has been a cornerstone on and off the ice for this franchise for years. Great on the PK, finishes just as well if not better than 79, and is playing against the other teams' best guys. Longest tenured Bolt, I find it more likely JBB tries to bring Killer back than Colton.

Tampa Bay Lightning signed Luke Schenn (1 Year / $700,000 AAV)
Good depth player, brings physicality and a big body to a team who desperately needs it. At 700k, low risk, high reward potential. Good signing by JBB.

Hoping Stralman takes the contract for one last year, considering he is already 32 years old, but fair point. Also, I should have said that Foote next year would be like this year's Cernak, in that he comes up and makes a name for himself. Not saying he is definitely already Top 2, at least two years before he is there consistently, but assuming he at least makes a few appearances this year, I doubt they would put him with anyone other than an established veteran LHD like Hedman.

Trade For Simmonds
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>KUUUCH</b></div><div>If we trade for Simmonds, it wouldn't include trading a better roster player to get him lol.</div></div>
Again, we need a cap dump, otherwise this offseason is going to be extremely tough on JBB. Simmonds isn't as good as Miller, never said he was. But his skill set is still good enough that it is worth the trade to keep guys like Point, Erne, Paquette, etc. He would be the best net-front presence the Lightning have had in a while, and a good addition to the PP. While we are definitely going for the Cup this year, we have to think about the future as well, Miller's contract is only a hindrance. Especially considering he has a M-NTC starting next season, we don't need another Killorn.

Trade For Simmonds
Lightning need a cap dump this year anyway, and Miller's contract only makes it more difficult to sign guys like Point in FA this offseason. Simmonds is a good rental and net-front presence whose skill set is similar, though not as a good, as Miller. For example, Miller isn't on the PK either. The talent may not be as high, but Simmonds is still serviceable and it clears a lot of cap for the Lightning.

Big Ben Bishop
Tampa doesn't need Nilsson, so I don't know why Yzerman would ever trade for him. If we're going to acquire a young center man, you better believe Filppula is going the other way. A better trade would've been <strong>Bishop and Filppula (1.125 retained)</strong> for <strong>Casey Nelson, Girgensons' rights, 2016 1st and 3rd, 2017 4th</strong>.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Lightning813</b></div><div><i>In my opinion, Hanzal is worth more than Filppula, and I think a 2nd would make up the difference.</i></div></div> I agree with the fact that he's worth more. He's 2 years younger and had a better season, but think about Yzerman's philosophy. He loves drafting in the 2nd round, he's traded out of the first into the second multiple times. So I don't think he's going to start trading those picks away.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Lightning813</b></div><div><i>Once LTIR kicks in, I think Arizona will need help hitting the cap floor, no? Or will their remaining RFAs get them there?</i></div></div> Tobias Reider, Michael Stone, and Connor Murphy are going to all make a cap hit of at least $2m (in my opinion). That leaves Arizona with only $5m in cap space. So, yes I believe their RFA's will get them there.

Filppula AND a 2nd just for Hanzal doesn't make sense. Maybe a 4th or 5th, heck maybe a 3rd even, but not a 2nd.
And I'm correct in assuming Condra is being traded for the 7th?

Tampa Bay doesn't need another prospect goalie, or a (relatively) lackluster defensive prospect. We sure as heck will not give up Drouin, ESPECIALLY, not to a divisional team.

Good realistic team
If Namesntikov signs a max contract (in terms of length), he's not going to commit to only $2m per year. Yzerman will probably sign him to the same contract Johnson and Palat had ($3.33m for 3). Also, same for Nesterov, not saying same contract but a short-term contract.

Kucherov would definitely be protected by whatever team signs him. And assuming he re-signs with TB, you can't take both Bishop and Kucherov, only one player per franchise.

Why no Namenstikov?
Erne MAY be ready for the NHL, but definitely not Baddock. There is no way that NJ gives up a prospect like him AND two draft picks for a 30 year old center. I know they need offense, but they need to get younger, not older.
Callahan shouldn't be third line.
There is no way that Gudlevskis deserves almost $2m, he has barely proven himself in the NHL yet.
