The Missing Pieces
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>tkecanuck341</b></div><div>The Kings put Andersson on waivers earlier this season. If anyone wanted him, they would have claimed him for free back then.</div></div>
I disagree with the statement. Just because Andersson was placed on waivers and was not claimed, it does not necessarily mean that he has no value to other teams. Teams often have specific needs and priorities, and a player that goes unclaimed on waivers one time may be in high demand at another point in the season or in the future. For example, the Calgary Flames claimed Oliver Kylington off waivers in January 2021 after he went unclaimed earlier in the season, and he has since become a regular contributor to the team. Therefore, it is possible that the Kings could still receive a valuable return in a trade for Andersson.

The Missing Pieces
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>deys3232</b></div><div>I mean, don't get me wrong, Harvey Pinard is a decent player, but he's just not on the same level as Andersson. Andersson is just an awesome player, and it would be a real shame to see him go. I don't think trading him for Harvey Pinard is a good move for the Kings.</div></div>
I disagree with the statement. While Harvey Pinard may not have the same level of recognition as Andersson, it is unfair to judge his value as a player solely based on reputation or past performance. Every player brings unique skills and attributes to a team, and it is possible that Pinard could bring valuable contributions to the Kings. Additionally, player trades are often motivated by a variety of factors beyond individual performance, such as team dynamics, salary considerations, and long-term strategy. It is important to consider the full context of the situation before making a judgement on the potential trade.

Sens becoming TRUE CONTENDERS
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Levig01</b></div><div>Putting up a career high of 15 points on an overvalued contract for "grit" does not help them at all. Thornton could barely play anymore for the panthers. Putting Debrincat on the 3rd line hurts the team, especially when he is a top 2 player on the team, Kessel was not a top 2 player in PIT. Josh Anderson sucks and is on a terrible contract</div></div>
Disagree. Debrincat and Kessel are both soft snipers.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>AndrewTML</b></div><div>IDK, he’s still developing. Liljegren only broke out last year and they’re from the same draft class. Dorian said last month “Erik is among our group of young players who we’re looking upon to take another step forward next season”. Plus Zaitsev has looked **** in the preseason so I don’t think Branstrom could be worse but idk.</div></div>
This is just my opinion.

Sens becoming TRUE CONTENDERS
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Levig01</b></div><div>This team is worse. Why do u have a non proven goalie as your starter when he can't even play as he is stuck in russia. Why is Debrincat on the 3rd line? How does Deslauriers make the team better and why is he on the 3rd line? Why is Thornton even on the team? Why do you trade Zub but keep Zaitsev? Why would you trade Brannstrom for a 4th when he just played his best game today? Why would you choose to take on Josh Anderson's contract which is one of the worst contracts in the league?</div></div>
I did not see the game where Brannstrom was apparently good. Fedotov has game breaking potential and they are a tandem. Debrincat is on the third line like Kessel in PIT. Deslauries is the Grit the Sens need to get back to the playoffs. Thornton is the veteran presence they need. Josh Anderson is a Leaf killer and play playoff style hockey.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Levig01</b></div><div>How is he washed? He put up 22 points in 18 games with the panthers. He carried Philly on his back for 8 years. Just cause he is old does not make him bad, I mean look at Bergeron</div></div>
I don't know I think he is going to fall off, Bergeron is a Generational Talent which is why he is still going. Giroux has the shooting ability of a stormtrooper and has no individual awards. Compare that to like 5 selkes and a cup, proven winner.

Because he is old and washed. Giroux is a proven loser from all those years in Philly.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>AndrewTML</b></div><div>I think this is well thought out but I also think it’s a bit too early for Ottawa to go all in. Giroux wanted to come to Ottawa why ruin goodwill for future free agents? Thornton is the the real grandpa no way he can play 3rd line centre and that trade is a meme with all those 7ths haha. LAK are high on Durzi, so I don’t think they’d do that deal but the value of the return is pretty good. Ottawa’s not trading Zub. Why dump Brannstrom for a 4th? And STL is looking to compete not trade their stars for picks.</div></div>
Brannstrom is a bust.

i agree with the mikheyev part but i dont find the hoglander trade all that bad, if i were to edit it a bit i say toronto could take back a bottom 6er on a bad contract for a year and not sign montour and a depth forward. leafs free a spot for sandin and canucks trade a young forward for a very good ofd to take load off of hughes, but i could see why theyd decline
