I highly doubt the Capitals are going to be bad enough to get Michkov

Tampa doesn't have the cap space for Mantha.

And Washington isn't going to be anywhere close to getting Michkov.

michkov will very likely not go top 3 because of his contract in the KHL

thats the price for a physical two way no3 dman who can play both sides at the deadline, and if ottawa wants into the playoffs theyll need to upgrade that d core

First off, I don't think any of this happens. But hypothteically, that is the MINIMUM asking price for Orlov. A top 2 LHD who can move the puck, play both sides, AND is very, very physical. I would say the realistic asking price at the TDL would be a first, a B prospect, and either another prospect or a 2nd

Personally I would do that easily. Orlov is one of the most underrated players in the NHL

The problems are :

- Is it possible to extend him with Ottawa and at what price?

- Is he as good on RD than LD?

Even if they are definitely out of the running by the TDL I don't expect them to sell beyond MoJo, Eller, Sheary, Jensen, and Brown. Also would take either one of the biggest implosions of all time or some extreme lottery luck for the caps to be able to grab Michkov. His KHL contract might push him out of contention for 1OA, but he's still not making it past 5
