One of the best in the west
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>LoganOllivier</b></div><div>Hey I'm a Leafs fan so the bar for centre depth is pretty high for me these days. LOL
That being said, Schenn would be the 4th line centre on TO. Kadri has a slight edge over Schenn. O'Reilly is an upgrade but still a 3rd line centre in TO.
With that being said, I still think St Louis is pretty set at centre ice. Its definitely competitive in the west.</div></div>
I love Kadri, had him in fantasy the last two years and watched many of his games. he's great, but he's not better than Schenn or RoR. I'd have them in the top 20-40 range for centers in the league, kadri I'd probably put about 50

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>LoganOllivier</b></div><div>I hate to break it to the Blues Fans on here, but this team isn't nearly as good as you think it is. Bozak was a terrible signing. Love the guy and he's a class act but he's too slow for 5v5 these days and at 5 million he's a gross over payment. Also he's 32.
Schenn is a decent player but he's middle 6 at best.
O'Rielly is a very good player and was one of the best 2nd line centres in hockey. He's a bit out of his depth as a number one. The biggest issue facing the Blues though is Goaltending. And that hasn't been addressed.</div></div>
Maybe some people are overhyping the team but I think you are underrating them as well. Schenn and RoR may not be elite 1C guys but I think they are at worst low end 1C/high end 2C. Don't love the AAV for bozak but the term at his age is fine and he is a great player as a 3C. Add in anything fabbri can add, Perron who is a solid mid six winger and at least one of their prospects(most likely thomas who is top 10 in the league by most accounts).
Allen should play much better, last year was by far the worst of his career. Either way last year's team was still 1 game away from the playoffs and upgraded at several spots. May not be the favorite, but neither were the caps. Blues as is should make the playoffs and have a chance to compete with the big boys.

THE FUTURE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>GMTD</b></div><div>Five stars for trading O'Reilly.
Please give me 2 to 4 other players that you think would make this a fair deal. First, second and who?
I am not disagreeing with you, I just want to know who do you think would be fair. Please do not include Dmitrii Sergeev LOL.</div></div>
No chance on Thomas, Kyrou i doubt either. Tage Thompson is the safer but not as much upside guy, Kostin I think could be better than Thomas but is a bigger risk. Could also try for something like 2 of fabbri, sobie/berglund and either schmaltz/walman.
Not saying they have to trade him for that, I just think if the deal is with STL they aren't giving up those top 2, or Parayko
Fair I think is 1st, 2nd, and 2 of Thompson, Fabbri, walman, schmaltz, berglund, sobotka or just Kostin

Blues Roster v784
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>timmeejr</b></div><div>but honestly I need Thomas back in any ROR trade</div></div>
I just can't see them moving thomas or kyrou. I would hope they would take Tage but get that might not be enough. To be honest I think Kostin might be the best of the bunch and including him really scares me, but he's clearly more of an unknown even to the blues compared to thomas/kyrou

July 1st/Post Bous
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>littlejerryseinfeld</b></div><div>It isn't realistic for buffalo</div></div>
Again I said they could lose the 2nd rd pick back to the blues and add in another decent prospect but what are the Sabres asking? By all reports a 1st, a 2nd and a solid prospect correct? Here its a 1st a 3rd, a good middle six roster player and fabbri who is pretty much a prospect. Much more realistic than all these Thomas + parayko packages I see on here.

One of the more realistic trade scenerios i've seen regarding ROR to the blues. Wouldn't love losing Fabbri and would rather give up sobie than bergy but you gotta give to get. Could even see the Sabres giving back a worse pick than that 2nd or the blues throwing in another mid level prospect.

Pre July 1 Trade II
Why would Blues ever do that trade?
Parayko vs Risto: Risto is younger, deals are pretty much the same money/term but Parayko has been the much better player
Schwartz vs ROR: Schwartz is younger, cheaper, and better than ROR, though with 2 less yrs on his deal.

My Team
Blues are not trading Parayko and kyrou for ROR.
Must have missed the report that said the ask moved from a 1st, 2nd and B+ish prospect to a cost controlled young top Dman and an A+ prospect

Get it done
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quote:</div>Buffalo is going to want more then 3 slugs and a middle to end first round pic for a top 6 center. If the blues go for a big center its going to cost them parayko. Only player with value they have that they can trade besides swartz,Tara, and schenn.</div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quote:</div>Buffalo is not going to trade a top center for a third line player. Makes no sense. Would you trade schenn or Schwartz for a third line player.</div>
Everything out there right now is the ask is a 1st, 2nd and top prospect so I don't think a 1st, two good prospects and a solid roster player is a bad match, could see a 2nd being in there as well. I would not trade Schenn or Scwhartz for a 3rd line player but that doesn't matter because A)they are both better than ROR, younger, and on cheaper contracts and the return isn't a 3rd line player. It is a 3rd line player, 2 solid prospects and a 1st rd pick. This trade may not be accepted but it isn't as wild as you seem to think
