Tampa 2018-19
Really? A foam finger and a hot dog for Budaj? Hahaha. He's at least worth a 3rd round pick, or some sort of prospect deal. What you should be worried about is the cap for the future such as Kucherov, Gourde, Point, and Stralman, long term who need hefty contracts. Especially Kucherov. Funny though!

Draft day deal STL

I'm saying if Fabbri would have stayed healthy he'd be on a similar trajectory. Their styles are very similar. As of now, Ehlers has much more value.</div></div>
Agreed. But we have to see it happen first.

Why do this deal otherwise if your Ottawa? Trading a sure thing asset for a kid with potential whose had incredibly bad injuries back to back and a late 2nd round. The condition of Fabbri having to play at least 55 games is a gamble that sin't that worthy. What if he plays 60 games and scores 20 points because he isn't the same player after his injury?
This feels like all the risk is on Ottawa here.</div></div>
My thoughts exactly! Good insights!

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Chopper02</b></div><div>Fabbri is that good of a player. Think Ehlers with slightly less speed, but a lot more grit. The only question for Fabbri is health at this point</div></div>
Don't get me wrong, I like Fabbri, he's an excellent player. Had a terrific World Junior Championship. He just hasn't proven himself yet that he's as good as Ehlers. Whether he puts up the numbers this next season depends on his health and I think he can do it. Here's Fabbri's rookie season. Put up 37 points in 72 games, and Ehlers, 38 points in 82 games. The only exception after the fact, is Ehlers broke out for two 60 points plus seasons, and Fabbri's gone down and had injury issues. I'll say it again, I like Fabbri, I just want him to see him live up to his worth.

wouldn't this be fun?
No way Hoffman goes for that. But this would be an incredible stunt by "the pirate" Bob Murray, as Brian Burke calls him. I doubt they get rid of the "ironman" after just resigning him to a new term. The only way the Hoffman deal works, is if you have another Bobby Ryan in the deal. Where I doubt Ottawa jumps on giving their high first rounder, for a first rounder in the 20th position. But cool ideas here!

That trade actually makes sense, but Melnyk would have to look like an absolute "genius" to make it happen. (Lots of Ottawa fans would be mad, others may not) The results would have to be Fabbri's game turns towards as good as Brayden Schenn was last season blues, to make this a nice trade for Ottawa. I personally, don't believe Fabbri is that "good" of a Mike Hoffman worth player, but the conditional first adds up for it. Plus, I definitely don't see the key "franchise peice" in Mike Hoffman leaving anytime soon. But good insights! I hope Fabbri puts up 60+ points next year no matter what happens! :)

Krug for RNH
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Bcarlo25</b></div><div>Well, here's the thing, I thought the idea was to win a Stanley cup, not build a good lineup for fantasy hockey. Krug is horrible defensively. Trading him after a 59 point season is selling high, and buying low. The Leon comment is a joke. Krug and 5 first round picks for Leon? Maybe. They honestly probably still say no to that. Krug is a fraction of the player you make him out to be.....it's not all about points. Krug out and RNH in makes them far better.</div></div>
You're right about the Leon thing for sure, that's a stretch by a long shot. But I do think we all are underestimating the value of Krug, and I don't see Sweeney moving him any time soon. The way I see it, I don't see Krug moving anytime soon. What's your thoughts on that?

Krug for RNH
Why would you do that? You want to trade the #2 fantasy playoff defense man, who not only put up 59 points in the regular season, for a center (a forward) who put up only 48 points this past season. I get that signing the #1 fantasy defense man for big $, is even better. Plus it's more likely to see Carlson stay with the Capitals, as their future #1 defense man long term. Don't let the "UFA" idea get your hopes up. Plus, Krug is far more valuable then just a Nugent Hopkins, and rather is more of a Leon Draisaitl type trade. If the Bruins go for hopkins/krug, include at least a 2nd rounder, in the deal for Boston to obtain. I defintly though see Donato up permantly next year on the second line, so nice move there! Otherwise decent ideas happening here.

Vegas Golden Knights - Cup Winners?
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Ajp_18</b></div><div>I’ll be honest with you. Im from Portland and saw him play all year and he’s so not ready...he needs to make his decisions faster. The only reason Anderson wanted out was because he wasn’t getting played and this year he player almost twice as much as last year so I’m not sure if he still wants to leave. Also a player who holds out for more money doesn’t always want out of somewhere, don’t confuse that for losing his love for hockey(ROR). Also if I were to trade a good young power forward I’d probably want a high prospect and a pick or an older line up player. I’d be okay with a Tuch and a Colin Miller, I’d be willing to add Murray and Savard for Theodore and Nosek.
Anderson, Murray, Savard and a second to Vegas for Tuch, Miller and Theodore....
That might be a dream. Lol.</div></div>
Cool! Thanks for the insights on Cody Glass, maybe he has a fabulous off season training. Will find out sooner or later...

Very understandable. I'm not an NHL GM and salaries I would have to take a little more time towards. I definitely agree with you about that. Maybe Kane takes 6,500,000 or 7,000,000 on a different club desperate for goals? What do you think?

Cool! Love the feedback! THN's put Cody Glass as "ready" to go for next season and I trust their instincts. Also I can somewhat agree with you about the Eakin and Anderson part, but I also know that Anderson wants out of Columbus. If not Eakin who would you put in a trade for Anderson?

Your thoughts
You think Carl Grundstrom is the next Kyle Connor or Jack Roslovic? After injury issues this year it's more then likely he will spend his time in the AHL next season, for some seasoning. It might get there eventually but don't count on him until 2020-21. I like the Manson trade. As I can see the Leafs trying to pluck out one of the Ducks again, like they did with Freddy Anderson. But I don't think that that's what Annehiem would jump on for that trade. Your essentially trading an elite top 4 defense men for a bunch of 4th maybe 3rd liners, I don't think so. I don't see Frederik Gautieur happening next year either, but possibly mid season. The only way you really make a Manson trade happen w/o loosing players such as Kadri, Bozak, etc. Is to trade players such as Connor Brown along with your Manson trade. Something that would work out for both teams, as Bob Murray won't pounce on getting rid of Manson too easily. What I see though, for future, is Timothy Liljegren in that spot where Manson is in the next year or two. (Went 17th overall in 2017). Another thing I don't see happening is Dermott jumping from 3rd pair defense, to first that's a bit of a stretch, maybe 2nd pair, but that's all I give. Otherwise, I like what's happening here, and the Leafs have a good shot at cup next 5 years.

Jets
I don't mind your move for Jordie Benn, and Paul Byron, it makes sense coming from an edgy Marc Bergevin. If you could, make that trade a little more interesting! Pull out another Mikhail Sergachev from Montreal! What doesn't add up for me is getting rid of Bryan Little in that trade. There's not way you can get him (Little) to remove his no trade clause. After all he's one of the shut down centers for Winnipeg and not moving signed to 23-24. I'll ask you another question. Do you really think the Islanders are going to get rid of their young star in Josh Ho-Sang for an average goalie in Steve Mason? Yes, the Islanders need a future goalie, but there's no way they are going to hop onto his bad contract (Mason's). I don't see Mason ending up as the next Mike Smith goalie. I absolutely love the Anton Khdobun move! That's awesome! But I doubt it will happen, as he will be a part of Boston's future. I like the signing for Paul Stastny for 6 million, as that's how much he will be making when he does sign. Except, I don't see it with the Jets, as the Jets need to lock up players long term in Trouba, Morrissey, Laine, Lowry, and the list goes on. If Stastny does sign with Winnipeg it will be at a massive pay cut (somewhere around 2-4 million) which I don't see happening. It's more likely he signs with a team like Montreal, Vancouver, New Jersey, for the 6 million which he's valued at. Otherwise, I like the ideas here!

No way WPG's getting rid of Ben Chiarot! Evan Bouchard starting as the next "Charlie McAvoy" for next season is doubtful. I like the idea long term of the Blackhawks picking up Evan Bouchard, but don't expect to see him coming into the NHL year 1. He's not Rasmus Dahlin profectionist. Otherwise good idea for the future!
