hello. I think this team is really good. Except, I think Oleskiak will sign for 2 years. Also, I don't think the Skinner trade isn't not enough, it may be too much. That's just my opinion though but it seems realistic... I like it :)

eh I was just basing it off rumors + he and Crosby were good buddies back when so I was like why not but if I have enough cap ill make a change. btw love the profile

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>awesome</b></div><div>i don't know if i would go after nash, i would prefer a guy like grabner if could get him for a reasonable costs.
If you are going with one of the previous WBS guys at 4th line center i think it would be blueger not simon. Ideally it would be Sheahan but since they didn't tender him and then they overpaid rust not a lot of room left but if they get grabner instead of JVR in your example that leaves them alittle more room to do so.
Also they definitiely should have Oleksiak next season as well, shouldn't be that costly(under 1.5m)
So maybe grabner for 2LW, Oleksiak for bottom D, blueger for 4C. Personally i would also switch rust and sprong but that's something sully can figure out in season. If grabner is cheap enough than get Sheahan for 4c (i think Sheahan could get for 2 but that's obviously more than blueger would cost).</div></div>
yeah I wanted sheahan in there but not enough cap but im gonna dump JVR all together so that'll clear up some room

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Pensfan89</b></div><div>JVR is a pipe dream for that. More likely to get a Grabner type player on a 2-3 year deal similar to Shearys deal since you’re trading him away. It gives you a cheap speedy winger that can drive offense with his speed, a great pker, and good defensively. Use the 5 million you save in cap to re-sign Sheahan and Oleksiak.
Your lines could look like this.
Guentzel-Crosby-Hornqvist
Rust-Malkin-Kessel
Hagelin-Brassard-Sprong
Kunitz-Sheahan-Grabner
ZAR
Simon
Dumoulin-Letang
Maatta-Schultz
Johnson-Oleksiak
Ruhwedel</div></div>
yeah that's good. thanks!!!!

it was just to fill up a spot. like I said this isn't permanent so I can change the line at any time. I didn't want to do that myself it was suggested. who do you think should fill his spot??

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Matthews34</b></div><div>Could try for a guy like Rick Nash with those parameters. I could see him settling for a 2 year deal. Or you could go cheaper with a Maroon/Grabner type player. But remember you also need 2 more players on this team to make a 23 man roster.</div></div>
Yeah that’s good. I’m tryna keep it as realistic as possible though it’s a possibility but would nash sign here?

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Matthews34</b></div><div>Don't think there is any chance JVR takes a large discount, and a 2 year deal, to just cup chase. It's reported he has many teams in pursuit of his services. It will cost an overpay in both dollar and term to get him.</div></div>
so who should I get instead?

I think it's good but they may somehow trade Sheary and make a couple more changes to the defense.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Penjays66</b></div><div>So Bryan Rust is going to get around $2M his next contact. I believe he has earned that. Also JVR is going to go for $5.5M+ He might take a discount to come to the Pens but doubtful. Also I think if Sheary is getting traded he is going to be in the package going to ARI for Domi. Rumours are that the Pens are really interested in Domi and ARI wants a active skilled player (Sheary) and a prospect who is close (ZAR, Simon).
With regards to the Maatta comment I agree with you. He seems like he is trying to do too much. I would like to see him paired with Dumoulin or get another stay at home and reliable defenseman so that Maatta can play more offensive because it seems that is the game he is better at.</div></div>
completely agree. I really wanted to trade Sheary, Zar, Simon for Domi but every single team I see that does that gets so much backlash so im not sure. It's usually "Domi is worth a lot more than that". That's what I did with my last team and all the comments were telling me that Domi costs more.. about KESSEL more. Which I completely disagree with.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>MajesticWalrus</b></div><div>Rust and JVR get at least a million more dollars each. Trade brassard, if it wasnt for his retained salary, hed be making 6 million Pens cant afford to resign him at the end of the season. Oleksiak might make more. Hopefully Sheahan makes less.</div></div>
I think I want to keep brassard just to see how he plays THIS season. His contract I think is done next season so if he plays actually awful he's a goner. I'll up rust and JVR.

ok so any defense suggestions? If I wanna be realistic I have to keep Murray even though my personal opinion is that he isn't very good. He's ok but... his glove is lost.
