And although I think Stamkos should be playing every game at center, and he's a natural center, that just isnt the case this season as Nick Paul is playing great at center and the line combinations for tampa are working really well so Stamkos has stayed at 2LW

well ive watched every game this season so i dont really care what online line combinations say. Point plays 1C and Stamkos plays 2LW

Joshua Brown is target that is absolutely on no ones radar. And its a shame cause I think he's a very valuable bottom 4 piece that wouldn't cost much to acquire and could really improve a teams defensive stability.

If You ReBuild It They Will Come
As a wings fan, Im still of the mindset to be patient. I think we have a lot of valuable pieces that we should be moving to add younger guys and draft picks. IMO Seider is the real building block. Dude plays so smart and seasoned at such a young age. Not to mention his physical ability. When he hits his prime, I like to think he's going to be another Victor Hedman. But I think his career will be very lengthy just because he plays so smart. That type of mindset for a defenseman usually breeds longevity. We've got some decent prospects in our pipeline. But with a pieces like Seider, Raymond, Kasper, Edvinsson, homegrown Carter Mazur, Sebrango, Soderblom, Rasmussen, patience is the name of the game. All these guys are still children and we've got a pretty deep prospect pool. Lots of hometown vets who will stick around for maybe even the rest of their careers. We still need to find some serious high end offensive talent and fill out the d core. I really like Rasmussens game. I think hes got a ton of potential to be a two way power forward force who becomes outstanding defensively. I wouldnt be opposed to selling guys when their values are high, even if it would be of benefit to keep them around. Guys like Hronek, Kubalik, Sundqvist.

Point plays center not wing. While I believe Stamkos is a natural center, this season he's playing second center behind Paul. He plays wing unless the draws are on his strong side on the right side of the ice.

you do make a good point. i dont know as far as value goes, i cant speak for yotes fans in regards to what they would and wouldnt be willing to take. but beaching him on LTIR if he's done surely would be something theyd consider for the right return

lol good point. I agree that Boyd will be a great piece to sell at the deadline to a number of teams. Goaltending doesnt make much sense. They can take Broissoit, sure. Hes on an expiring deal and injured so if AZ could get anything to take him then its really no loss. Lehner has an 8 team no trade list this year and a 5 team the next 2 years. He doesnt fit in AZ cause Vejmelka is their guy and thats a lot of money to eat for a lot of years. Vegas is going to have to pay more than that to offload him to a team like Arizona. Even more will be required if Lehner doesnt return or his play declines

Might as well wait on Lehner to get healthy. Thompson has been outstanding but he also hasn't played more than 50 NHL games. I love the kid but its risky to bet everything on him so early. Lehner is still a solid goalie and his value while injured is low. If he doesnt ever return and is riddled by injury, thats a problem to offload him then. Doing it now does give you the advantage of teams thinking theres still a possibility he plays. But if he returns, plays well, is traded, and Thompson struggles, he's a guy you'd probably want to keep. At least to give some stability before Thompson can prove he's going to be the guy long term. Its a difficult situation because of how much money Vegas has tied up in goaltending

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Dmh1055</b></div><div>He's be a younger replacement to Braun and for a team starting Nick Seeler sometimes he's still an upgrade. The Flyers aren't the team that waived him. I believe Nashville and Tampa both waived him and the Flyers only reason for declining him then was salary cap constraints. Given that his deal is expiring the Flyers could look to re-sign him at a much lower AAV and explore him as a 3rd pair dman going forward. He could also find him prior success with Travis Sanheim.</div></div>
understandable. also he was extended by tampa. after this year he has a 1 year contract at a $1,400,000 cap hit

Well in this scenario theres no risk yeah. Even if Myers werent to play for example, philly still gets a 5th for a guy whos likely going to be sold at the deadline anyway. If Myers was the only piece they are getting back, no matter what they are giving up to get him, it doesnt make much sense. They waived Myers previously and he didn't work out. I just dont see them taking a shot at him a second time, especially given phillys blueline. Doesnt really fit in on their back end.

Heard. I think Konecny is more talented, even tho they do have a comparable play style. Konecny is a better skater and puck handler, better player at high speed.

thats a good point, but Palmieri was acquired at an older age and he isn't as talented as Konecny is, although he had proven hes a more consistent scorer in his career up until the point he was traded. I get it. it is risky, especially with the draft this year.

Barz needs a partner - Does this trade make sense
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Db1899</b></div><div>Forwards usually peak at 24,25 YO and Konecny turns 26 in a few months. It’s very risky to trade a 1st for a guy who isn’t a legitimate 1st liner</div></div>
thats understandable, but i dont think he's reached his peak yet. I think him and Barz would make a great pair. On the isles, he's definitely a first line player. I dont think its that risky seeing as how the Lam has shown that he thinks this is their window. Worst case scenario he puts up 50 points a year and is paid no more than a lot of other dead weight on the isles roster,, and his deal is up in 2025. Still has some trade capital because of his age if this were to fail miserably. I think its a good fit. Sure he doesnt have the work history to make anyones eyes light up, but he definitely has the talent and skill that I think would compliment Barzal nicely.

A good start to this season doesnt all of a sudden make him first line caliber. Sample size matters</div></div>
yeah i agree sample size matters. philly was a trainwreck last year, no one could score. sure if were looking at his body of work then you could say hes a very good 2nd liner, but theres more to it than that. He has had 1 really good season and this year hes playing great but that will likely taper off because hes carrying such a load for philly offensively. I dont think he's had his breakout season yet. I think he's a first liner. He hasnt really had amazing chemistry with anyone yet. If he was paired with a guy like Barzal and all goes well, he could definitely get beyond the 90 point mark IMO. he has the ceiling, it just hasn't come together great for him yet

You clearly dont pay attention to the salary cap. Both Vancouver and Dallas are both capped strapped. Vancouver is adding more than 15 million in salary while only shedding 7 ish mil. Dallas also cannot afford to add those players contracts
